The Vet is coming up big for Tampa Bay thus far Vitek Vanecek - Though we were skeptic to move Shesterkin, we could not be happier with the replacement we received for him. Rookie of the month honours in January Conor Garland - Proving to be a great pick up as a FA a couple years back. Showing he can be a capable top 6 F within the Tampa Organization Youth Movement - With an average age in the NHL of 26.4 and an average age of 22.3 in the minors, We are exciting on the outlook of our future. That and we have done a fantastic job of acquiring players who could be real top 6 threats, including a couple who are coming in a trade to be announced. That on top of what we felt was a great draft for us last season Cons: Tyler Seguin - It is what it is when it comes to Seguin, but we hope to have him back come April to really help us make a run in the playoffs. May be our best deadline acquisition at this point Rickard Rakell - A staple in our Stamkos trade, so far has not produced the way we had hoped. Hoping that he potentially gets dealt at the TDL to a contender and we can get rewarded Frank Vatrano - We had hoped he would build off his previous two seasons, unfortunately so far 1G and 1A is not good enough Overall: Happy with how the season has started. Sit 4th in the division and only 68 points back from first. Should a couple players start producing how we thought they should, then we could be in real contention to make a good run in the playoffs. We are also proud of how we are building the team in acquiring some very talented youth, as well as those we have drafted or signed and are developing. We do have an abundance of Forwards currently that we will look to make some moves on, and as it sits not one is untouchable. Willing to wheel and deal if the price is right on any players.
