Quote

Though it went under the radar earlier this month, the Philadelphia Flyers have one less restricted free agent to sign this offseason. Maksim Sushko, a young forward coming off his entry-level contract, has signed with Dynamo Moscow in the KHL.

Sushko, 23, was a fourth-round pick of the Flyers in 2017 and made his NHL debut in the 2020-21 season, playing two games with the big club. After spending all of 2021-22 in the minor leagues, it appears as though he’ll pursue a career overseas instead. Though Sushko spent half a season in the KHL while COVID restrictions were keeping the AHL dark, it isn’t like he is unfamiliar with North American hockey.

The Belarusian forward came over to play in the OHL in 2016 and spent three years with the Owen Sound Attack before jumping directly to the AHL. In fact, this will be the first Russian team he plays for, making this a new experience altogether.

Signed to a two-year deal, he’ll still be young enough to return in 2024 if the Flyers choose to issue him a qualifying offer this summer. That will allow them to retain his exclusive rights as a restricted free agent and potentially allow them to bring him back after receiving playing time in the KHL.

  • Master Mind changed the title to CDC Puck League

Welcome @Tylez! A huge addition to the league. One of my fav GM's to talk trade with for sure.

The Blues are excited about the draft soon ready to kick off! We currently hold four first round picks and are open to moving one possibly two in the right scenario.

hit me up here on cdc or discord if you feel you might have some youth we could be interested in. Also open to possibly moving up from 20 or 31-32 with our WPG 2nd.

thanks folks :)

@Down by the River

@Tylez

Welcome to PUCK league, two good additions to an already great league.

Also, tip of the hat to our two cup finalists @BarkovTheCat @Phil The Thrill, no matter how this ends, it is an incredible feat to be in the finals, well done you guys.

Summer is here and our draft is coming soon, the LA KINGS look to capitalize on our nine picks this draft year and our 12.5 million in cap space for free agency.

On a personal note, we are busy selling our home and buying another, so I don't see too much time to spend in chats and negotiations in the short term, but I will make time to polish up the club and continue to PAINT IT BLACK on behalf of the Los Angeles Kings. Can't wait to draft and I am even starting to look forward to free agency.

Enjoy your summer everyone, if i don't get a chance to talk to you soon, as it should be a good one, sun, fun and for me, a change of scenery. (*Like the leafs every spring, I am getting closer to two golf courses with every nights sleep. Hahaha,)

In the three draft seasons we have been running the St Louis Blues we have selected ten players in the first round of the entry draft. Our next selection at 31 will be our eleventh in three years! A truly remarkable feat that we hope will launch our franchise into new and exciting beginnings. Here is a look at the 1st round selections we have made since coming in as management in STL back in the off-season of 2020.

2020 ENTRY DRAFT

small.png 9 OA - Yaroslav Askarov

small.png 11 OA - Jack Quinn

small.png 25 OA - Hendrix Lapierre  (Traded in a deal for Sebastian Cossa)

2021 ENTRY DRAFT

small.png 1 OA - Owen Power

small.png 18 OA - Fyodor Svechkov

2022 ENTRY DRAFT

Special shoutout also to Mackie Samoskevich (2021), Braden Schneider (2020), Sebastian Cossa (2021), and Noah Allan (2021) all of whom are first rounders from the IRL draft. Some of whom we traded for and another we drafted in a later round. Our team is still a work in progress but it's fun to look back and see what we have achieved thus far in our drafting process! We hope to add more names to this list over the next few seasons!
