A case can be made for the D man cutting the angle, and the goalie challenging the play outside of the crease, Markstrom did, and made the save.  He only moved across the crease because he thought McD still had possession.

McD barely touched him, and tried to avoid the contact.

The contact that happened did not drive the goalie 4 feet out of the play.

 

either way I find the reffereeing and calls by Kozari to be lame.

I just meant in this series so far, hasn't been noticable. In the first series he certainly was better.

 

Maybe partly to do with Oilers PP futility.
