We only complain because he is coached to be a blocker instead of a Simachev, like he plays naturally, going after the puck, attacking the puck and disrupting plays. You all want to draft a defenseman that attacks the puck and play, and then when you have one on the roster; you complain he isn't blocking pucks in front of Delia and Martin.... so he changes.... and gets worse cause now he is screening the shots..... doubting his attack skills.. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

During the U18s I kept watching the Sweden games to get a good look at ASP because I figured he’d be who our scouts would target. However I kept finding myself watching Willander more and more, to the point where I was annoyed with him because he was distracting me from scouting out ASP lol! No word of a lie, by the last two games Sweden played I starting thinking that maybe this Willander guy should be the one we’re targeting. He perfectly fits our needs and his build and game seemed just a bit more projectable to the NHL than ASP.
