HighOnHockey Posted December 14, 2022 Share Posted December 14, 2022 (edited) Prospect Update: Liam Ohgren He played on the top line for Djurgardens and scored his first pro career hat trick today. The first goal was pure luck as the opposing goalie mishandled the puck. The second goal was nice - he skated a pretty clever route on the breakout to create a passing lane, then just sniped on the partial break. The third was an empty netter. Still, that's 5 goals and 3 assists now on his current 6 game point streak. Up to 3rd on his team in goals with 9 and 4th in points with 14. He also leads the team in +/- with +13, and just broke 60% corsi today, good for 3rd on the team and 1st among forwards. We think he's close to NHL-ready, and set to join a good team poised for sustained playoff success. Hated to part with Tverberg, and Hakanpaa isn’t that high of a producer… But getting a top-4 guy on a strong playoff team with a cap hit under $1.5M, long-term no less, was too good to pass up.
