Early in the season but the blueline stats are kinda sad:

Total number of goals by defensemen on each team:

SJ 12
NYI 11
FLA 10
SEA 10
ARI 8
BUF 8
CBJ 7
NJ 7
BOS 6
CGY 6
COL 6
DAL 6
WPG 6
CAR 5
EDM 5
LA 5
NSH 5
TB 5
VGK 5
NYR 4
OTT 4
STL 4
WSH 4
DET 3
PHI 3
PIT 3
CHI 2
MIN 2
MTL 2
ANA 1
TOR 1
VAN 1

One of the biggest problems on the team. Any player can play terrified trying desperately to defend for 60 minutes. But c'mon a team needs defenders that can read the play, jump in, make a 1-2 pass, start the rush, and generally be part of the teams efforts to score goals and play in the other teams end. We have none of that outside of Hughes who is too busy trying to do everything and treading water for 30 minutes a game. It's also on the forwards who don't play a team game or with any structure. JR is right about that.

Anyways go Canucks.

Hughes is 3rd in the league for time on ice. Makes me wonder if he needs to sit more in the 1st so he'll have some energy for the end.

The 99pt Miller played C all of last year...people so quickly forget that after his poor few games to start the very next season it seems. The nice thing is JT can play both positions, if Bo isn't brought back long term we will have no choice but to play JT at C as we got Zero depth in that position, we like to draft and trade for wingers, G and LHD

He has 12 points in 12 games. Not exactly a poor start points wise.

Maybe this time Miller at center will work, unlike last time, with Miller at center?

Maybe if Miller has found his groove.  I like the idea of having 3 scoring lines.

I prefer paying C top dollar rather than wingers.  Cuz typically it’s the C position that drives play, takes the faceoffs and (should) be more defensively responsible.  Whereas wingers provide support on the boards, look for open spots and score goals.

WHAT??? All 4 officials are from Ontario or east? No western officials? Well we really know Bettman and the officials are out to get us now..... <insert sarcasm emoji here>

Absolutely. I love the guy but that's asking to much. He's still learning.

Keep him fresh for the third when we need him.
