How about this...

Vancouver 2023 Unprotected 1st to the L.A. Kings for Brandt Clarke and L.A. Kings 2023 2nd round pick.

The draft is a gamble anyways...so who says no?

yes yes for NYR Schneider 6'2 - 215 stay at home RD would like him in Vancouver..

Clarke 6'2 RD my second choice.. Both are type of D men we need.

Maybe we should be trading our firsts and seconds for fully developed players to help right now?  How about giving up more first for another Miller and OEL?  It’s worked great so far! :frantic:

Here is the thing... we can target who you want now,  Brandt Clark, David Jirieck, or Brayden Schneider or you pick some other favorite your like...offering our unprotected 1st.  Can be part of a bigger deal also.

Keeping the pick... while of course it is nice to have as a lottery ticket... but no guarantee you get who you want or the position of need.  Especially when drafting top 10... you are taking the best player available...which will probably be another forward.    Wouldn't you agree we Defense ASAP.

I’m fine with rebuilding/retooling moves.  It’s the trades where we give up futures for older guys that makes no sense for us.
