That’s because the Leafs haven’t had Armstrong, Horton, and Keon type players. They were close with Sittler, Salming, and McDonald. And Gilmore, Clarke, and Potvin. But Keon was something special. Can’t replicate that kind of greatness. Matthews? LMAAO. Marner? Make me puke. Double Fksmingo? Enough said. Tavares is actually the closest to what it was with those great Leafs.

I got to drink from it from it as well, in 1988 I was visiting a friend in Edmonton and we went to the Y to play racquetball and just as we were leaving I believe it was Craig Simpson came in with the Cup and I got a chance to hold it so I quickly poured a bit of the water I had into it and took a sip.
