Like @c00kies said, I'm more excited about the off-season, until there's a reason to be excited about next season. A full season of Bruce isn't it. They have a semi decent record with him and that shouldn't be the standard.

We have zero patience? I think that's incorrect. I think the majority of the fanbase was willing to wait 4-5 years to see a proper rebuild done once the Sedin were gone. IF it was done properly, that's plenty of time. There's zero patience for dragging your feet and aiming for the shallow end. There was never a concrete plan articulated with the old regime. The new regime has all the time in the world provided there's an end goal. The best thing the Rangers did over the past 5 seasons was put out a letter saying they would suck but they would be better because of it. Look at them now.

I keep hearing this “record under Bruce” storyline. They’re not a powerhouse under him. They’re record since he took over is about 15-16th in the league. Let’s not pretend they’d be some top contender if he started the year here. Would they make the playoffs? Maybe but they’d probably be the 2nd wildcard team if not on the outside looking in, just making it a little closer. They’re an average team and that’s the reality. Average teams shouldn’t be capped out with no prospects. Reality sucks I guess.
