I'm sure many teams would be interested in acquiring Evander Kane, but he's probably going nowhere.

Montreal would have to give up WAY too much to get Evander.

Kevin Cheveldayoff is looking to add offense up front, not subtract offense up front.

Kassian.... Taylor Pyatt 3.0

Lies. He's more of a Steve Bernier. Hopefully his talent level goes up so he can become like a Taylor Pyatt.

If he's available I really hope Gillis takes a shot at him. We need to load up on Vancouverites.

There were rumors this season that Kane wasn't happy in Winnipeg. Maybe they do move him for something.

Winnipeg Jets fan here...

There is no way the Jets trade Kane unless they get a serious overpayment in return or he is infact unhappy here in Winnipeg.

Personally, I think his game is too one-dimensional right now, but he is young and hopefully maturity and experience will allow his game to blossom.

Plus, the Jets are strapped for goals as it is and losing a recent 30-goal scorer would only make things worse.

how much longer can thy wait for Pavelec to live up to his potential? He's started almost 200 games with a 3.00GAA......over the past few years they've had some of the worst goaltending in the league.......Schneider would be a wise decision to make for the Jets while Pavelec could be a backup hoping to find his game to create some trade value.....how can you say they don't need Schneider?

Lol you sound like the GM's rejecting a trade in nhl12.

Why cant montreal just draft their own player since they have such a high pick, without losing anything.

Every NHL team would love to have Evander Kane on their roster. The kid has massive potential, knows where the net is, and is pretty tough for a kid his age. If Gillis wants him, he'd better be prepared to give up 3 serious assets (eg a 1st + Schneider + Jensen). I doubt MG would do it though, so I doubt we could acquire him.

What makes you think it's an overpament?......judging by the Van/FLA trade Booth has next to no trade value becuase of his contract/concussion history and would be a salary dump to make room for someone who is actually worth their cap hit......and Schneider+1st(26th overall) may be enough for Kane but maybe not....Kane will be a superstar......

I absolutely love seeing trade proposals involving the Jets and the Canucks, only because they are so obviously never going to happen.

I'm a Jets fan first and foremost, and anyone that has watched them consistantly this year would know that one of the few reasons they won games was due to the goaltending from Pavelec. They don't need Schneider, no matter how good he is. Trading away Kane in a horrendous trade proposal which involves Schneider, Booth, and a late 1st round pick does not address the Jets' needs, which are a legitimate number 1 center, followed by more scoring depth. Taking out Kane and replacing him with a piece of garbage like Booth solves nothing.

IF the Jets trade Kane, the other team will have to give up a lot more than what has been proposed. The only way I see a trade with Montreal happening, is if Montreal gives up Subban and their 1st rounder in return for Kane and their 1st or 2nd rounder. However, all this would be contingent on IF the Jets can then trade either Subban or Enstrom to Pittsburgh for Staal, as he's the type of center they are looking for, not Plekanec.

Kane is a key piece to the future of the Jets. Only way they would trade him is if it's true that he is unhappy in Winnipeg and the relationship with the organization becomes distant.

If that were the case it would take a lot to acquire him

Yeah, who WOULDN'T want Kane?

Taking out Kane and replacing him with a piece of garbage like Booth solves nothing.

Not sure I'd want to do this, but would Kes and Booth for Kane and Little go?

Kes: Top center who can mesh well with Ladd and Wheeler by playing power games.
Booth: Another power winger, can replace Kane's speed, also provides size next to Antropov (similar to Kane)

Kane: Top line right wing for the Twins, with speed, maneuverability, toughness, the whole package offensively
Little: young guy, play maker (can help his wingers' production), used to top minutes in Winnipeg so he'll get 2nd line minutes here; good wrister, sound defense, tireless, can snipe (though he's not as big and doesn't have the skating ability, so Vancouver may be gambling on losing their 2nd line center and Selke nominee's strong defensive play to have one game-breaking scoring winger, and play making ability on the 2nd line from Little)

thoughts?
