Better to go with 13 forwards than 9 defensemen imo.

I say cut barker

You know even though are 2nd line looks weak atm our first and third lines are pretty awesome. Not to mention our D and goalie situation looks great too. We should be fine.

Doesn't at least one of Vandemeer and Barker have a 2 way contract?

There is always Tanev who is still on ELC.

Update: yes Vandemeer has a 2 way.

I agree. Ballard/Tanev for smaller teams Ballard/Vandermeer for bigger ones. Vander can also play 4th line wing if either of Weise/Volpatti get injured or falter.

Dank, Hank, Bur
Higgins, Lappy, Hansen (technically our third but they'll get 2nd minutes and checking duties on other lines top players until Kes/Booth get back)
Raymond, Ebbett/Schroeder, Kassian (3rd line minutes and predominantly o-zone starts)
Volpatti, Manny, Weise/Vandermeer

Ebbett/Schroeder

Hammer, Juice
Garrison, Edler
Ballard, Tanev/Vandermeer/Alberts

Tanev/Vandermeer/Alberts

Schneider, Luongo

Done.

Tough call on Schroeder due to waivers factoring in, but I think they have to give him a longer look after last night's scrimmage.

I don't think you put much weight at all on scrimmages.... it is easier to drive to the net when you know no one is going to paste you. I will reserve judgement until I see Schroeder and Raymond do the same thing in a real game where they have to pay the price.

With the way Schroeder and May-Ray played together it would have been incredibly surprising to see Schroed's go back to the Wolves.

I hope this is our 2nd line:

Raymond - Schroeder - Kassian

I think you mean 3rd line?

Was Corrado already cut? He's not on that list.

Sent back to Kitchener yesterday.

No, he means second line. AV will have them on a short leash (as he does with every line). We will likely see what stawns mentioned, and that is the third line playing almost second line minutes, but in more of a shutdown role (i.e. up against the Getzlaf/Perry line).

hes good in offense but hes not a longterm type of guy

kes and booth should come bak

Yep, same as Gretzky, his offence sucked but he was great when they played him as goalie.

Also: To tell how old an egg is, place the egg in a pan of cold water. If it lies on its side, it is fresh – if it tilts on an angle,, its approximately 3-4 days old – if an egg stands upright, it is probably about 10 days old. It an egg floats to the top, it is old and should not be used.

Team actually still looks great. The defense looks incredible . I'm actually really excited.

As for lines I like :

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Raymond Ebbett/Schroeder Kassian
Higgins Lapierre Hansen
Volpatti Malhotra Wiese

Hamhuis Beiksa
Edler Garrison
Ballard Tanev
Alberts Vandermeer
Barker

Schneider
Luongo

(2nd line has not as much mins as 3rd line, also Ebbett could be moved to 4th line over Volpatti to give an extra scoring touch for now.)

Headed back to Kitchener, great experience at camp, learned a lot from some great players.

Good luck @frankcorrado22 with the rest of your season! Remember what I said- every team needs RH Ontario dmen! See you soon pal.

personally until booth or kesler return id rather see our top two lines like this:

Daniel Henrik Kassian
Raymond/higgins Schroeder Burrows

Burrows gives solid two way play and consistancy. When you play with the twins you keep your stick on the ice, dig in the corner for the puck then go to the net. I think this is a great time to try Kassian with the twins

Probably wont happen, but i think thats what the french coach should do

Looks like the lines are set!

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Schroeder-Kassian
Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen
Volpatti-Malhotra-Weise
Ebbett

Hamhuis-Bieksa
Garrison-Edler
Ballard-Tanev
Vandermeer
Barker

Schneider
Luongo

Where did Alberts go?

I dont know I have this feeling like Alberts might get waived, he hasnt played well and earned his spot over Vandemeer or Barker. Also Alberts has a higher cap hit then either of them.

Absolutely, but after a good training camp last year and probably looking better than his competition (Ebbett) in the scrimmages, he at least warrants a longer look. Not saying he'll be the guy and they may even see other things or have different criteria for what they want from a Kesler replacement, but I'd expect he'll get his first NHL game very soon.

If this team lets go of Sang he will burn this team next year.

We still have 9 D-men, but I could see them playing Vandermeer as a fourth line winger. Seems like they were experimenting with that in practices. Plus you can never have too much depth on D.

I think we'll see Ebbett or Volpatti go down.

I really wanna see Schroeder play. No offense to Ebbet but Jordon's our no.1 pick and I would like to see what he can do in an NHL game.......provided he is given enough time and opportunity to prove himself

You forgot Alberts, so there's one more cut somewhere.

So if our opening night forwards look like this:
Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Ebbett-Kassian
Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen
Volpatti-Malhotra-Weise

What happens when Kes and Booth come back?

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Kesler-Booth
Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen
Weise-Malhotra-Kassian

?
