Sami Salo will outperform Jason Garrison

Swedish Vikings

There's always something to complain about on here isn't there...

QFT. It's ok to always complain about something, IF there was a benefit or something to be gained from doing so. But since these people don't do anything to help the team, it's just more whining.

Until he has an off game, then Cody is god again.

Well because obviously Cody NEVER had a bad game, unlike that bum Kassian. Am I right. ;)

Imagine if we had let go of Raymond and he was picked up by a team like Tampa or NYI and he scored his 3 goals there. Imagine the firestorm on CDC saying MG was an idiot for letting him go. Even though the whole time he was here they whined about MG keeping him!

salo has balls of steel and rocket of a shot and yet so frail , tampa bay overpaid

Sami recovered from every injury he ever sustained which suggests he is the Bionic Canuck.

If this was pre-salary cap era, both Ohlund and Salo would be getting those retirement contracts and ending their careers with the Canucks.

Guess they did not deserve the Sundin Royal Treatment for doing sweet next to absolutely nothing for this franchise.

Loyalty, honor, all those themes that everybody pays lip service to.

Garrison is a welcome addition, very welcome addition, but his style of play is Hamhuis 2 and not Salo or Ehrhoff 2.

This team needs a Salo or an Ehrhoff offensive style D man, besides and adds to what Eddy brings.

AT THE MOMENT, down in the south, the Tampa Bay Lighting are really lighting the lamp and with Sami Salo, the veteran D man who use to play for us signed a 2 year (3.7M/per year) contrast with Tampa in the off-season. He's now paired up with Victor Hedman, a 6-6 monster from the hometown of the Sedin's and BY FAR, they are on fire so far. Sami Salo's guidance and experience will help shape how Victor Hedman will be in the future.

Now what I am saying is that we made a mistake letting Salo go and signing Garrison who had only 1 good season and may not show consistency which may be a problem. So my question is, will Salo out-perform Garrison? Keep in mind they have a stacked 1st line down there.

Small sample size is small. 4 games.

Also, Salo also always seems to have a tendency to perform better at the beginning of the season. As the season wears on, he wears down.

I was sad to see Sami go, one of my favorite Canucks of all time

I like the guy so much that he is in a strange catagory where I find myself happy that he is doing great in Tampa and I only wish the guy the best.

Kinda like when Linden, Bure, Naz, Wellwood, Rycroft and BMO left.

For some reason Burt, Mitchell, and COHO sting me a little different.

I wish those guys the worst

I don't know why you seem surprised. Seeing Salo play good is nothing new to any of us. We know he is going to help the Tampa Bay lighting, knowing that, we also know, he's going to get injured once or twice this season. It's not like, oh its better to have Salo then Garrison. Tampa overpayed for him, and at this stage of both these players careers, it is a much wiser decision to have someone Jason Garrison, rather then Salo, although I love Sami Salo, and I will not be surprised if Mike Gillis made a trade for him at next years deadline if tampa bay is out of the playoff picture.

Troll thread.

Always trolls getting canucks fans going around here.

respect to Sami but happy to have Garrison.

i think he's looked decent so far , better than Hamhuis and Bieksa who look out of sync.

anyway theres a handful of tools that come here to flame Canucks fans with threads like this.

When Sami is healthy he's great but he spends to much time on the injury list. Garrison is a similar player only he's not made of glass & he's younger. I'm not surprised to see highlights of Sami being successful. I also won't be surprised when news come that he's broken again. I cant see were the mistake is. Garrison is just getting started.

Based on your logic, Luongo has better stats than Schneider right now, so obviously Luongo > Schneider...

Currently Bryzgalov's stats > Schneider's stats

But who would you still rather have on your team..

Lol no.

Stupid thread is stupid..
