[Report] Clowe to Flyers deal is "all but done"

Recommended Posts

Yup; if a good D, who apparently has not worked out in SJ is included it looks like a good package. Philly still has Schenn who is the better young centre; trade from strength.

Plus negotiating in advance with Clowe.

Philly have a reputation as deal makers for a reason!

They would body up pretty good with Boston & have the more exciting scorers, if they could keep the puck out of the net...

 Raymond and Ballard does not sound as exciting a rebuttal offer.

Hearing it might be Couterier for Clowe and Burns... this isn't bad for the flyers at all.... I would rather see Clowe in a Nucks uniform though

He is this year's Gaustad - majorly overated. If he's already having a bad season, what are the chances he suddenly picks up his game and plays great for his new team? Definately not worth a 1st, barely worth a 2nd and no one should throw any decent prospects away for him.

Horton played solid and was a hero for Boston.

Carter also helped their offense immensely.

No doubt in my mind Clowe would help this team. He's huge and is a legit mentor for Kassian.. If he's in the line-up that is, lol.

Philadelphia is only 4 points out of the playoffs while the #6, #7, and #8 teams have all been playing .500 hockey and below the past 10 games (Both the Rangers and Devils are under .500 on the season).

As for the Penguins while they would be the favored team they have not dominated Philadelphia even this season. Their biggest win was by 2 goals in the opener and each of the 3 games since were all 1 goal games.

Well Clowe is not playing today so he is being traded if this report is accurate.

Also it matters more how many teams the Flyers have to jump over to get in and not how many points out they are.
