shoots&scores
Love these playoff games with zero penalties against teams. How many times has that happened in the past 50 years? How about in the last 3 years?
MANGO
When the league adds a new ring to the cup, they're gonna have to make them a bit taller to accommadate the refs. names as well.

hudson bay rules
Ovi's not wrong but he's been the recipient of a lot of leeway for years and is just whinging now. The Sedin's are in a different class altogether.
MoneypuckOverlord
I feel sorry for him. His team got dicked over just like the Vancouver Canucks. If anything it's his gm that should have air time with the leauge. 28 to 16 is a very lop sided affair. I think the leauge does have a bias towards certain teams. New York being who they are, I won't be surprised if the leauge wants teams like Boston, New Y ork, chicago to last as long as possible. Despite a bigger fan base, Ovechkin is a house hold name in the hockey world. Screw you NHL
DeNiro
Tampa Bay didn't have any PP one game against Boston in 2011.
*VaNcOuVeRCaNuCkS*
The reffing has been horrible all playoffs and with that being said How does Daniel Sedin get a boarding penalty in overtime of Game 4 and Alex Ovechkin doesn't get a boarding penalty for his hit in Game 7 yesterday is beyond me
Vansicle
Anyone else find it interesting that only two of the remaining teams aren't monster markets? NY LA Boston Chicago Detroit Pittsburgh Look at that. And only one Canadian market left (Ottawa and SJ are the pbvious exceptions). I'm not saying that I know for a fact the fix is in, but something is definitely rotten in Denmark. EDIT: Sorry. Forgot Pittsburgh.

NZCanuck
If he thinks 28 powerplays to 16 is bad imagine if the Sharks & Nucks had gone 7 games. The 24 to 10 disparity becomes 42 powerplays to 17 over 7 games.
TheAce
I didnt see any of the Caps/Rangers series but from what i did watch Boston, Pittsburg and San Jose were getting some pretty blatant bias in the officiating. So it wouldnt surprise me to add in New York, which is another major US market that the league needs for revenue growth

stawns
We tend to see it from Canuck's fan's eyes and even then we all know there has been bias. scf 2011 the series vs chicago the series vs SJ this year sometimes its just bad luck/reffing, sometimes you wonder. I watch alot of hockey and i concur with Ovie, and I think most hockey fans would. The NHL has the worst officiating in all of pro sports. We seldom hear of NFL/NBA/MLB refs determining outcomes do we? Why? because they do their job and stay in the shadows. As many fans/pundits say, when you notice a ref in a game, it means he's not doing his job. We notice the refs all too often in hockey and the problem is the league accepts the garbage. I watched the leaf game last night. As usual, the bruins get away with garbage. Marchand trips Reimer behind the net, no call. JVR has his nose broken by an elbow no call, Lupul is crosschecked into the net, then punched by rask with his blocker and chara and no calls. Imagine if Burrows or Lapierre pulled any ONE of those on a player? lol...God forbid. I felt for the leafs last night because it reminded me of all the crap the nucks took vs boston. I understand letting teams play but there are rules, you can't ignore them, and the refs seem to choose to ignore them for certain teams and not others, that is obvious. Interesting who's left in the playoffs hey? California vs California Detroit (struggling but key franchise) vs. Chicago New York vs. Boston Pitts vs Ottawa One Canadian team, and the rest seem to be very important markets for the good ol USA! Makes you wonder...
Master Mind
Maybe we can all smarten up and stop watching the NHL? Pretty obvious it's corrupt. I said that years ago and everyone just laughed it off.
aGENT
At least it's not just Canucks/Canuck fans "whining" now...lol Seriously though NHL reffing needs better/more training and ACCOUNTABILITY please!
*VaNcOuVeRCaNuCkS*
No sport in the world even comes close to the level of difficulty for the refs......not even combined I don't think. I'd like to see all the whiners on this board, and all over the hockey world get out there, ref and take the abuse that goes along with it. ps. don't watch if you don't like it.
