Man there are a huge amount of posts with excellent reasoning for players to be named alternates.

Well as we've all seen before players get hurt and alternates change throughout the season. Horvat will get his chance this season to be an alternate, but I think it's Tanev or Burrows to start the season...

I agree. Some good discussion going on here.

Exactly what I was going for. 0474.png

Give it to burrows for his last season.... He deserves it.

100% agree and think this is the right thing to do. Horvat the year after. But who knows they should have done the "right thing" and had " the mighty quinn" as our intro song for games too in honour of Pat Q!

I'm going with Sutter, he's a solid 2 way guy, experienced and an excellent speaker. Has leadership quality and if he stays healthy he'll be showing everyone his character on the ice. Gudbranson is my second choice. Bo needs to concentrate on Bo this year IMHO.

Burrows until he leaves/retires, he's got the dressing room

I have to disagree with you there. I'm sure he is respected in the room, but to say "he's got the dressing room" would imply that he is the most respected leader in the room, more than even the Sedins. I doubt that's true.

I guess I put that badly, obviously the Sedins are the dominant force in the room, but with the new arrivals, especially the younger players coming in I think Burrows stands for a lot of what is important to a team going forward.
