Flames give up late goal, lose, and fall a game below .500

The beauty of it, Alf, is that the lames have a grand total of one draft pick in the first two rounds of the next two drafts.  They can thank the Hamonic and Dougie Hamilton deals for most of that problem.

Smug flames fans at the start of the year were calling the Canucks a garbage team with no talent, but if they examine things closely they are going to realize that Vancouver is going to have a prospect pool they are going to envy very soon (especially when you add in ehe first round picks JB will make in '18 and '19  when the lames are basically sitting on the draft sidelines hoping that 157lb johnny boy and soft as butter Monahan can lead them to a cup)

Yup, and he doesnt look like hes going to break out of that slump.  Ive watched him play a few times this year and he looks completely different than the supposed phenom we watched vs the Canucks in the playoffs a few years ago.  He looks like a low hockey IQ north/south plumber out there.  Funny thing is they brought in Lazar (they gave up a second rounder for him) and both Lazar and Bennett look to be about the same player.

It's a curse of Jim Hughson. Sam Bennett was only great when he was 18 and now he is no longer "18-year-old-Sam-Bennett" he is no longer good B)

I must have dropped into some parallel reality but I could have sworn I just heard Elliot freedman on the panel during the second intermission of the coil caps game, actually,
