Cool. Just to be 100% clear are you actually the Rob Zepp who played in the NHL?

If he is i want a picture autographed... back a number of years ago at a Panthers game i got a picture with my wife and Luongo and this other little known goalie from across the state... Rob Zepp!

I like what Philly has on the back end and that is why I think Canucks should continue to see if they can pry Travis Sanheim by using some of their (Canucks) prospect forward depth.

Rob do you remember getting your picture taken with a woman between you and Luongo? My wife was wearing a Carolina jersey with Brind'a'mour's name on it.

Just gotta say I really like the fact that as nux are ranked 4th best prospect pool in the whole league there are only a handful of responses on CDC - not an avalanche of rah rah. Plus the responses are smart.

Says a lot about our prospect pool but also says a lot about the growing maturity of the fan base. Nice.

I think part of it is that it's basically expected that we're going to be pretty high on anyone's list.

I hear Rob Zepp went missing(yrs back) after contractual (& concussion protocol) disagreements with Bettman(& his mob, henchmen)..knowing that whacked backups tell no tales, they then assigned some yes-man to adopt his handle(impersonating a real-life, human hockey player) & promptly deluge popular hockey boards as a league-apologist, whilst claiming knowledge as a savvy insider, once employed amongst the God-like, elite!

Someone shed light on this potentially diabolical crime!!!

Frankly I've got mad respect for CDC's version of Rob_Zepp. It's sort of the perfect CDC burner account. Pick a former pro hockey player totally unknown to even astute fans, but someone who can be verified when fact-checked. Adopt a pro-Canuck bent to appease insecure fans dying for approval. And not any approval, but approval from a former pro hockey player who played for other teams, hobnobs with seemingly everyone in the game, yet fell in love with our beloved Canucks. We must *really* be special!

Gotta hand it to him, dude played the long game and won. Crowned CDC champion - every former NHLers dream come true.

Sad that we can't believe much in this net-universe. If I'm thinking something, then type it & send it out there..I can no longer believe it myself ! (disclosure: am Gemini)

Or maybe you just read his posts and decide whether he makes sense or not. Usually he makes a lot of sense IMHO.

More than 50% of the time I agree with him. What I don't appreciate is when he appeals to his authority in the game to make a point. I have zero issue with internet anonymity on these boards, however, I do feel it's wrong to fake a persona, especially when it's constantly being leveraged to make his points.

You seem to be unclear on what the word 'fan' means.

Unless he was posting on this forum during mid game of a playoff game back in Germany, he not Rob zepp.

I’m guessing he possibly played against rob in the Germany league. Would be cool if he revealed that as I have a bunch of former teammates that played in DEL. Could have even been a teammate of his.

Nothing magical about the rankings but they has been consistent for years in having a formula and doesn't seem to have a bias (of the six that contributed this year, most seem to have hated and loved pretty much every team equally).   Not too long ago, their site's consensus was that Vancouver was about the bottom of the league.   Not anymore.

The top consensus top 10 are interesting.   CC is no longer Canuck property so they blew that but he isn't part of the ranking per se (as it is based on the top 10).   Goldy not being there is interesting, for example.   Clearly the ranking was prior to the draft.   With Hughes and Woo one would have to think they would have not fallen in ranking....what do you think?

Canucks Move into Top 5 in Prospect Ranking

VAN.jpg?resize=84%2C67&ssl=14. Vancouver Canucks, A-

Rank (4.6)

The Canucks ranked high despite not having a contribution from Cam Robinson. I ranked them the highest at second overall while the lowest rank was 11th. The Canucks have corner stone prospects at each position with Pettersson, Boeser, Juolevi and Demko leading the way. With another top 10 pick coming up, look for the Canucks to add potentially a center or a defenseman. If the Canucks can lure back big Nikita Tryamkin it would be a huge boost as well. With the Sedin twins stepping aside, it opens up two top-six roster positions and a hefty chunk of cap space. Look for the Canucks to add an impact player in the off season. Peter Harling

There is hope. A roster can have a very different look to it adding even three top players. Vancouver still has lots of work to do, but replacements for the Sedin brothers aren’t far away. Fans know this though… they’ve been waiting for a few years. This could be a big draft year for Vancouver too. Joel Henderson

Top 10 Prospects

  1. Elias Pettersson
  2. Thatcher Demko
  3. Olli Juolevi
  4. Jonathan Dahlen
  5. Adam Gaudette
  6. Kole Lind
  7. Michael DiPietro
  8. Jonah Gadjovich
  9. Guillaume Brisebois
  10. Petrus Palmu

U21 Roster Players: Brock Boeser, Jake Virtanen

Other notable prospects: Zack MacEwan, Nikolai Goldobin, Cole Cassels, Nikita Tryamkin, Jalen Chatfield, Tyler Motte.

2018 Draft picks by round: 1 Quinn Hughes (7). Round 2 Jett Woo (37). Round 3 Tyler Madden (68) Round 4 None. Round 5 Toni Ultunen (130). Round 6 Artyom Manukyan (186). Round 7 Matthew Thiessen. – Total, 6

Hey Robb, not sure if someone has pointed this out yet but keep in mind Dobbers is a FANTASY hockey website.  So while it's great to have some recognition on here it's purely for fantasy purposes.  Doesn't mean there isn't correlation between fantasy and real life hockey but they're more concerned with point totals only.
