Petty's interview was interesting, he mentioned wanting to play for a team that has a chance of winning(the cup). I wonder though if he and Hughes have considered how much they change those chances IF they ask for too much in negotiations? Time will tell.

So what's plan B if Demko gets injured? Halak.... Demko had a minor lower body injury in morning skate last season, what's to say something doesn't happen this upcoming season? Holtby struggled when facing that many shots under Greens system, I don't believe Halak will be much better, but if Demko does get hurt this team imo will be in huge trouble.

Has it dawned on hockey fans that starting this season only 50% of the teams are going to make the playoffs? You will not get into the playoffs with a .500 record anymore. Not only is winning a cup VERY hard, it's going to hard to get into the playoffs now.

The market is all over the place today. At this point I'm expecting a top 4 RHD for Holtby and a 36 year old 4th line winger for our 9th overall.
