    Was the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery where we had a 12.1% our best lottery odds to date?

    (And we still dropped to 5th but got Petey anyways...)

      We also had 16.9% odds in 1999, but got the best two players anyway with 2nd and 3rd.

      @-AJ-  Burke actually worked it out with side deals to get the top & 2nd ranked prospect in that draft.  Atlanta could brag in newspaper promotions about having the 1st overall pick but it was that in name only.  I forgot the compensation Burkie gave for Atlantic not to pick either Sedin with that pick.  Burke really was Monty Hall lol & Atlanta got a 'zonk' gift behind curtain number one.
