He's def a keeper imo, slept on for sure. There was no training camp, no preseason. Team ran a gauntlet to begin the year, caught Covid, struggled with injuries and inept coaching, and ran a gauntlet to end the year. Some players had better seasons than others, but I would definitely question using it as much of a measuring stick regarding a player's capabilities.

He was a top D for Vegas, and I thought he looked better as the season went on. You need some vets around, and who knows what'll happen with Edler. Or Myers for that matter (though I think he should stay too). He's a very capable top 4D, and I expect that'll show next season. Hopefully our structures and systems play more to our players strengths.

What should happen is that they move him to the leftt side which is his natural position and go out and find a RH dman to play with him. Having a left side that includes Schmidt, Hughes, Joulevi/Rathbone puts us in a very strong position.  Go out get Dumba, Jones, Larsson to play on the first pairing, resign Hamonic and we should be set.

A future pairing of Hampus Lindholm and Nate Schmidt would be perfect.
