Anyone else attending Hotte4Motte WorldWide Conference? I've heard due to covid it's going to be a virtual conference... nonetheless, the MILLIONS will be there... and Motter will be present... in front of the millions!

Definitely with ya man... My love for Motter is on another level. Dude gives me man tears of joy...

He's really helped me open my eyes about my mental health. I always supported the Rypien campaign and always loved Ripper... but never understood mental health at the time and only supported it cuz i loved ripper and seemed like they were doing it for a good cause.

For years I was in denial of some problems I had myself... literally a day or two after I saw his video that he put out in January of last year, I finally opened my eyes and got help. I figured wow if he's brave enough to come out and say it on TV... then what's my excuse to tell a doctor and my friends and fam?

He's an inspiration and a role model to me... even though I'm 4 years older than him, he's someone I look up to... and genuinely am indebted to for his bravery to come out and start this movement. It makes me love this franchise so much more... we're always doing good things for the community and touching a lot of fans in positive ways that wouldn't otherwise be possible.

Who knows... If Motter goes to another team are they as understanding as our glorious staff and help him the right way? Do they help him through his troubles and help him become the legend that he's becoming today?

Man... I love this team.

@Ghostsof1915 in Burkie's defense the salary cap wasn't there for his canucks career and during that time we had cheap ownership. If we had deep pocket aquilinis Burky woulda plugged all those holes via UFA... we just had no budget.

in 2002 Burky had half the player budget from his ownership than detroit... it's a miracle what that team did... put in Demmer / Miller or any of the other mentioned goalies and that team comes home for game 3 and locks it down and sweeps Detroit by game 4.

Detroit only won cuz they spent 70 mill and we were at 30 mill (my numbers might be off a little but they spent about double)

Sir Jim Benning is one another level though. Runaway best GM in the league IMO given what he was given to work with.

It's not Gillis fault JB didn't have anything to work with though... it's just what happens when your franchise does nothing but win and compete for a decade... Sedins just wrecked havoc for a decade so we had no picks...

Given DOPS history it wouldn't have surprised me either... 

But end of the day the only reason the head ends up being contacted is because Myers is so much taller than Armia. From all the replays I've seen, you can see principle point of contact is shoulder to chest. 

Joel was clowning us 4 points... He was cruising with his head down and Myers did the right thing. You have to send a message. 

I'm ok with the major they gave. It was to manage the game and make sure it didn't get out of hand. Leave it at that. 

Btw random thought, when Bo scored his 2nd I was thinking "wow this is gonna be a good game... can't wait to come to the PGT and read up TS's write up on the Bo" 

But yea was pretty much all downhill from there haha

I'm not awfully loyal to one make... I just look for any stick that is 50%+ off in a curve / flex that works for me... ideally top end with lower kickpoint but I dont mind different kicks once in a while... ccm tacks 2.0 had really good kickpoint for one timers... too bad it broke on me early tho

I got some Rekkers from sportchek last year... that was prob the best "Bang for buck" ... I think was $120 from $260... if you look on their website they often have sales of their sherwood sticks for 50+% off... they even do warriors trues and other brands as 50% off door crashers... its usually the same stuff cycling on sale every month or so...

That being said I also love going to hockey shop or other actual hockey stores (unlike sportchek) and finding prostock sticks on sale... when you find one that matches your flex/curve and is on sale, it's a great feeling

Also nothing wrong with just finding some $60 or $80 sticks that are on sale for like %50 off and just leaning into them for taking clappers until it breaks! :D

Shaw has a pretty good promo. I'm glad they came into the cell market too... More competition is always better for the consumer... 

Sadly I really can't use a cell phone, no matter what network, Roger's, fido, freedom, telus, or iPhone or androids Ive tested in my apartment have terrible service. It has to be a stable line since I use for work... 

I was hoping there's some USB device u plug into the home phone outlet or something that makes it smart and compatible with my laptop

I think Eddie will be here long term. He'll sign a team friendly deal next off season.

Not fair to  paint an entire fan-base "bad" over some random internet toll...

The Canucks certainly have many of those... over twitter, insta comments, etc, but that's just what sticks out. I'd say there's 5% of those kind of fans but sadly its their comments that "paint" our fan base more so than anything.

For the most part I think this organization has the best fans in the league (minus that 5%)

Benn would fit real good in Boston... tbh he struggled here because he wasn't playing his strong side. I still think he's a quality #4 guy

They are probably out there somewhere, enjoying their day and focusing on all the positives our team has moving forward.

Doesn't make sense at all. You can't be a dummy when you've won multiple drafts without winning the lottery... stealing studs in later rounds... putting together a team that just defeated the Reigning Stanley Cup champs... and in only 6 games!
