  1. Some thoughts on Ferland/Virt/Green/Canucks, a great interview/perspective overall: https://www.sportsnet.ca/650/the-program/peter-loubardias-micheal-ferland-just-put-everything-together-reach-another-level/
  2. RIP one of the all time best, Pernell Sweet Pea Whitaker

  3. today is loui's big pay day so lets get the ball rollin now!
  4. To be fair, I mis interpreted in a sense what you said. People can go to the stampede and take in the calf roping or chuck wagon events because they are permitted to do so. It's not wrong in that sense. What we ought to do, in a normative sense is up for discussion. Im not disputing at all the role money plays in terms of changing our practices. But that's just a practical consideration. It shouldn't determine what we owe each other.
  5. The law isn't always up to date with our considered moral beliefs.
  6. I wouldnt bet against it. As much as I like seeing Boeser and EP do their thing, I feel like Boeser seems to play much more straight forward with Bo
  7. Canuck fans, an interview worth checking out:

Interesting thoughts on Ferland, Virtanen, Travis Green and the Canucks and their progression in general, from a CGY perspective.

  8. I watched a couple of teh Raptors summer league games and that Loyd fella looks pretty good
  9. no she's untouchable, but it would be funny to hear her gush about the Sedins
  10. Yep, and he's shown progress which is important. As far as the team goes, I said this in the Ferkland signing thread, physicality is like scoring- depth is good. Expecting 1 or 2 guys to chase hits is not the way to bring that element to your team game
  11. I dunno. Just because you add Ferland doesnt make Jake redundant. For example, if just Ferland was on the team, people would complain that Ferkland isnt throwing the body every game because truth is, he doesnt. But having both Jake and Ferland gives you more physicality overall, like scoring. Plus JB has already said that they are not giving Jake away- it would have to be something very good, and that was before all the new acquisitions. My guess is they continue to develop him in the top 9, because he does add a good 2 way element to the team. Also on a side note, I dont think Goldy is as good as gone either. They also see upside as long as he can keep developing. I would bet Sutter is the gfuy they move since he is on an expiring contract
  12. I really wonder if this will be Boucher's year. He seems like he's been improving steadily. As long as his skating improves he could have a shot
  13. Key words are "most" and "likely". You're just making assumptions at this point.
  14. I absolutely promise to watch more basketball if TOR gets Westbrook
  15. For Honor (still) World of Warships Minecraft to wind down at night
  16. I dont know. In previous years the Canucks werent much of a desirable destination, and JB has made it clear he doesnt like icing a strictly all young team. I think you can definitely make the case that all the vets that have been signed have been character individuals. Vrbata even was a great signing for his first year at least. A lot of the guys ebded up being place holders which to be fair, isnt all that surprising given the circumstances
  17. I didnt know much about Hoglander before the draft. After doing some reading and watching, man am I impressed. Now I know why Brackett and JB were so stoked to be able to draft him. I really wanted to pick up Newhook, but I see a very similar player in Hoglander. Quick, skilled and even more impressive is his dedication to off ice fitness. I 100% see TG loving this kid, his linemates too.
