Mattias Ohlund.2
Very, Very happy to have RJ and Niklas locked up. Both will contribute signifigantly to the team. RJ will start as 3rd line centre, and has ample opportunity to move up the lineup. We value his leadership as a great help to the core of this team. Niklas will start on the 2nd D-Pairing, with fellow young gun Jeff Petry. He brings a cup ring with him, which is just another item to add to his repertoire. We would also like to welcome TJ Brennan. We expect him to push for a spot on the main roster. As for now, he will be assigned to OKC. Updated Edmonton Oilers Line-Up Pacioretty - Richards - Perron Booth - Ruutu - Havlat Clutterbuck - Umberger - Clarkson Burish - Gaustad - Richardson Kulikov - Hamhuis Hjalmarsson - Petry Smid - Stralman Murray Varlamov Giguere
Ace of Spades
I would suggest leaving the scoring structure primarily as it is, but perhaps we don't count PIMs in the playoffs? In the regular season there are times when a team will be ok with a big hit leading to a penalty, but players are instructed to be way more disciplined in the postseason as a bad penalty can change a series (Bernier's penalty for example). Having PIMs is fine for the regular season, it gives some role players more value. But I'd hate to see someone in our league lose a playoff series because of a misconduct or a minor penalty. greensman
In the early part of 2010 The Boston Bruins acquired Mathieu Carle in a trade, to bolster our minors blueline and seek an offensive threat from the point. At Junior level Matheiu was one of the best offensive defenseman, but sadly he has had struggles in the AHL producing, and has lapses defensively. When asked about Mathieu`s performance, Greensman stated, "We stuck by Mathieu as he made defensive mistakes, from favouring his offensive ways, and this lead to a slide down in the roster. We have since signed some equally talented youth, which has made it more difficult for Matty to get ice time. I really wanted to see him develop and get a shot at the NHL, because with kids like him you never know what his potential is until you give him a try." Unfortunately that road seemed too long for the prospect, who has opted for more playtime over the hard road to the NHL, signing with Dynamo Riga of the KHL. Greensman made it clear that he was sad to see Mathieu go, but understood the reasoning behind the player`s decision. The Boston Bruins would like to release M. Carle from his contract to pursue his career overseas.

canuck2xtreme
TRADE: The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes. To CAR: Jack Campbell Andy Sutton To TB: Robert Mayer ANA 2012 1st Round Draft Selection (15th overall) CAR 2012 2nd Round Draft Selection (32nd overall) DET 2012 3rd Round Draft Selection (79th overall)
y0shi
We would like to thank Andy for everything he's given our organization over the past few seasons. He has been with Tampa on two separate stints and has been nothing but a good mentor (suspensions aside) to our younger defensemen. Jack was my first draft pick in 2010 and I had high hopes for him. However, we have abundant depth in our organization at that position and only a limited number of spaces available. We have no doubt he will thrive in Carolina and will become one of the best goalies in the league sooner rather than later. We would like to welcome Robert to our organization, and he will be getting some minor league seasoning behind Smith and Stalock. The 3 draft picks will give us some organizational flexibility going into the draft, and one of them has already been dealt to welcome a top-4 Defenseman to our organization. Otis
Rumor: Rumor has in that with the actions of Patrick Kane may have caused a falling out with the Panthers, though it's just speculation at this point, there could be some truth behind it. SheaWeber6
The Blue Jackets would love to welcome Joe and Theo to the organization. The team adds two more big bodies onto the roster, alongside recent acquisitions Steve Bernier, and Torrey Mitchell. There is no question which way our team is headed in terms of the way the roster is constructed. We would like to wish Roman the best in Tampa Bay. With the opportunity to play big top-4 minutes, he will surely thrive in that environment. With the acquisition of Duncan Siemens, Roman was made available, and adding a forward like Joe is hard to do in this league, and getting a player like Theo to replace Roman's minutes was a huge bonus. Also, the organization has gained a very high 2nd round pick in this year's draft, something that maybe packaged down the road in a deal for another first rounder, to along with 3 other 1sts the organization currently possess. If nothing happens from now until the draft, the Blue Jackets will be the holders of 4 of the top 32 picks in the draft. However, expect some moves out of Ohio in the coming days, as the roster keeps on forming into one that will be on the ice on opening night. Still looking to move one of my top 4 defensemen for a younger, cheaper alternative in a package with picks and/or prospects.
y0shi
We are very pleased to add a top-4 defenseman into the mix and very happy to welcome Roman Josi to our organization. Roman has demonstrated he is capable of handling the toughest of opponents while playing on the powerplay as well. With Matt Carle's real life location still a mystery (seen some rumblings he may be going to Detroit even), gaining a player like Roman becomes that much more important. We would like to thank Theo for his 2 years in Tampa, and Joe for his brief time here. We had to give up 3 good assets to get Josi, but we see potential in him. We wish Joe and Theo nothing but the best in Columbus.
