canucksnihilist
I guess this would never have happened to Roy or Brodeur... cause they would have outplayed Schneider... Is that accurate? Once you give a franchise player a big contract, aren't you supposed to keep him? And if you are trying to trade him, doesn't that mean you don't believe he is worth the contract anymore? thad
Dreger just said we called and offered Lu for scrivens and a bunch of draft picks. It was a no go and we called back twice and still couldn't get the deal done

Smashian Kassian
I'm gonna guess we weren't budging on at least a first coming back and they wouldn't go higher than 2nd rounders
Canucks_Hockey_101
Stellar goaltending and timely scoring were the factors for each of those teams. If the Canucks can get that from Schneider and the forwards start to produce with us adding two centers, anything is possible.
cs2016
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger4m Canucks called at 2pm...made a trade offer, Tor declined. Van called at 2:30 with 2nd offer, Tor declined...3rd offer at 2:45pm...decline.
ccc44
You think Gillis and Aqulini approached Lu and said 'hey, we want to give you a pile if money, will you please take it'. Give your head a shake. Lu and his agent cornered the organization in the last year of his previous contract and demanded rediculous money. Instead of letting Lu walk for nothing Gillis did what he thought was best when the contract were more common. Lu did this to himself and now him and the team are paying the consequences. I don't feel sorry for him at all.
Smashian Kassian
I think Philly soon becomes the front runner in the offseason. And by front runner I mean our last hope. I would just offer him to Philly for very little if/when they buyout Bryz.
