The only depth center brought in was Ebbet. In the first week, we saw Booth get hurt for 4 weeks. No one was brought in to pick up the slack. The farm system built by Gillis has produced no viable NHL forwards. That is on the GM. It is obvious that the weight of impending trades is negatively implacting this team. Luongo is a leader on the team, and everyone knows that he is going to be traded at some point. There is a huge amount of uncertainty as players don't know who or what else might be involved in that trade. It is a huge distraction. The GM can take care of this distraction and has not.
