Yes the whistle blew and the play was dead.

But why did the whistle blow? I don't see what Saad did there. It was Quincey shoving Saad into the bench and he was the one with the interference or roughing or whatever you want to call it. I don't think it should have been offsetting minors. It should have been a penalty to Detroit only. So because Chi had possession, the play should have been allowed to continue
