Aaaahhh..just tried my first shot of Bushmills. Light, fruity & easy to quaff! Reminiscent of Glenmorangie.

I'd been waiting to dabble in Irish elixir..but this just may very well become a habit.

If you liked the regular Bushmills, you should try the Black Bush:

Should have clarified, this indeed is the one I picked up. I'm a sucker for them sherry notes - even if they apparently only age it a few yrs. (The black bush was my destiny?)

Doesn't MacAllan make single malts and age them in sherry casks?

Yes, although personally I'd say GlenDronach, Glenfarclas, and GlenAllachie are currently doing it better.  Sherry cask used to be the default, but bourbon casks are easier to obtain and cheaper.

The Glenfiddich commercials promoting one of the cheapest casks available as a feature are pretty funny to watch.

Will investigate, Ghosts. Sure enjoyed a Ben Riach, almost a yr back. I drunkenly ambled down lanes looking for a girl named Sherri, with that schmaltzy Steve Perry, 80's earwig in my noggin! :^(
