Saying what so many have been observing and commenting on for a long time. the sedins are slower than they used to be and that was slow. \they need too much space and time to set up their style of offence and it just isn't there. What's even worse, beyond the twins, our offense is made up of third and 4thliners on any contender. MG has a bigger, slower team that doesn't get physically pushed around, but the price paid was the dismantling of the team's offensive abilities. The 1989-1990 saw Tanti traded for Dan Quinn. Tanti ranked as the 69th best forward by the end of the year, and was the top scorer for the Canucks. The 1988-1989 year with Skriko was not great either but he was 60th. Points gap between the Sedin's and Tanti's pace? Just 3 points. Then it will be officially the worst offensive regime in Canucks history, in terms of the Canucks top players. Even Tanti got dealt in 1989 when it became obvious he could no longer get it done. Garrison didn't make the Olympics, or Tanev, or Bieksa, or all our Canadian defensemens. He can skate, play defense (see the Zetterberg play)?, shoot the puck decent, and rush the puck up the ice.
