RUPERTKBD
Arencebia helping out the Jays for once. 2 run single in the bottom of the 8th. Exactly what I was thinking as I watched that game. Up comes JP and all I could think was, "How many times have I seen him in this same position for the Jays, only to have him let me down?" He didn't exactly tear the cover off the ball, but a hit is a hit. Man that was some candyass defence by the Rays' 1st baseman at the end there, he was too scared to get in front of the ball, almost cost them with the tying run at the plate right after I was really surprised at that play. James Loney is usually a really solid defender, but for some reason he decided to back up on that ball and it ate him up. It actually reminded me a bit of the play in Atlanta in the bottom of the ninth. Barney throws a one-hopper to Smoak, whom we're used to seeing dig that ball out of the dirt. It was actually a surprise when he couldn't come up with it...
Down by the River
All time favourite ball player? My grandparents always sent me baseball highlight videos, and my mom introduced me to Ozzie Smith. He's definitely my favourite. I don't know who was calling the play in the first video, but he reminded me of Jim Robson.

RUPERTKBD
Before the Jays came into the league I was a Red Sox fan. (Has a lot to do with hating the Yankees) Fred Lynn is still my all-time favorite player.

Wilbur
Growing up my favourites were Tony Fernandez, Jimmy Key and John Olerud. I still remember in '93 when Olerud flirted with .400 for a while. Edited September 17, 2015 by Wilbur

RUPERTKBD
Tough series coming up. The Red Sox have been pretty good lately. Meanwhile, the Yankees open up a set against the Mets. Tanaka pitching on short rest for the Bombers.
ShakyWalton
Im surprised the Red Sox are in last place in the East..they have a far better team than their record shows...I think their pitching has let them down this year but seems to be coming around lately...yep...going to be a tough series.
