KingAlex
I think that San Jose, Dallas, Minnesota, Colorado, Vancouver, and possibly Nashville will all be battling for playoff spots while it looks like Chicago, LA, St. Louis, Anaheim are the no-brainers to make it. Games against the bolded are the ones that I am most excited to watch this season! Two of these teams won't be making the cut. Nashville is looking like the most likely amongst these listed teams to miss, while one of Vancouver, Minnesota, and Dallas is more likely than the others to be the second to miss. However, anything is possible. I say Vancouver finishes 8th. Minnesota I think will come 9th. I believe that it will come down to the final game of the season to determine which team between the two makes it. I wouldn't be so sure about that. Goaltending can really be a swinging vote. Especially when you have Elliot as your starter. I remember in 2011 I wished we would verse Elliot every night, cause it was so easy to score on him. Not to mention his numbers weren't good. Defensively their one of the best. Offensively I would feel more confident with all your bubble teams except Nashville. Don't count St.Louis as a lock just yet.. If Anaheim didn't have a good GM i wouldn't count them in either, but no matter how their goaltending and defense pans out, you can always have faith in Murray. Dral
CHI LAK ANA STL SJS COL DAL VAN Toronto is actually the best team in the NHL and has been for the last couple years - it's just that they've won enough cups and want to give other teams a chance
missioncanucksfan
I have nothing against them predicting us finishing 9th. After last season. we're not exactly considered a threat in the West. However, saying that Reimer and Bernier are as good as Miller and Lack? Seriously? I know the Leafs like to build Reimer up as something he's not, but comparing him to Miller? Or even Bernier to Miller? That's pretty ridiculous considering the track record both of them have. They didn't even mention Lack by the way. What an insult to him. I'll even accept Calgary's tandem as being on par because Hiller is at least a proven number 1, and Ramo is a solid backup. Either way, it's apparent the analysts at TSN don't expect much from this team. Which I don't mind at all, because I like them flying under the radar.I have nothing against them predicting us finishing 9th. After last season. we're not exactly considered a threat in the West. Tragoedia
Well considering the turnaround that the Canucks have managed in 2 seasons versus how long it has taken Toronto, Edmonton, and Calgary to even be considered possible playoff candidates I don't really care what they have to say. We aren't locks this year, but to say that Toronto has a better chance is silly. There roster has not improved and they jettison anyone with potential in return for overpaid, overrated flash in the pans. They will have to do better before they can judge another teams talent, especially since they are ranked dead last of ALL N. American Big 4 sports teams (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL). 6string
It is high time for a Canucks Network, covering our home team, Utica and all of the teams playing Junior Hockey in BC. Mass media is on the decline from CBC, FAUX to NBC and TSN, it's our time to shine by regional representation or niche market television, I turned off cable years ago - the internet is my source of entertainment! 6string
BTW San Jose peaked last year, i see them tumbling by no off season acquisitions, average defence, questionable goaltending and having stripped Thortnon and Marleau from their leadership roles, it could implode simply by the Canucks adding to their demise by beating em! Herberts Vasiljevs
Aaron Ward has Vancouver making the playoffs. While the panel said that there's almost no way that we'll finish as badly as we did last season, they also think that there's too many "what ifs" like Burrows, Kassian, and the health of Daniel Sedin that make then wonder if this team is better than eight other ones in our conference. This is a fair assessment.

What am I appologizing for again?.... Go look at Miller's choke jobs? That's rich. Just go look at what Reimer pulled off two seasons ago. One of the biggest choke jobs in recent memory. Miller >>> Reimer < Hiller It really isn't that much of a contest.
