Kassian/ Bruins Trade Rumour

Recommended Posts

Kassian's trade value is at an all-time low. He continues to show flashes of promise. More patience needed, and best to keep him around when we run into more injury bugs. SIze counts in the post-season, and Kassian traditionally seems to save his best play for the second half of the season.

We can't lug around a player who can only player half the season especially when we have a ton prospects who are near ready in the minors

We don't have a single prospect in the AHL or juniors that is able to replace Kassian right now. Not a single one.

We don't need one. Linden Vey over Zack Kassian is fine by me, at least he gives an effort out there and looked pretty good tonight with Matthias and Bonino.

Also, Nick Jensen could replace him easily.

For the Kesler trade he should've have gotten a prospect that fits better with Horvat, Virtanen, etc. age instead of Bonino. The Garrison trade I don't mind that much but Garrison is worth more than a 2nd, especially considering he traded a 3rd for an AHL defensemen.

Bonino was better than any other prospect they had. Etem looks like a dud, Karlsson and Rakell are projects and ironically project to be Bonino-type #2 centermen at best, Noesen is struggling and Theodore is a one way one-trick pony who needs more development.

Vatanen and the 10th were never going to be traded because of the fact that the Ducks had more leverage in the trade than the Canucks did. They were effectively not bidding against anything. This is why they dumped Sbisa our way and we had to beg them to add another 3rd into the deal at the 11th hour to get Dorsett. Bonino's only 26 and on a cap friendly deal. Ducks fans were devastated he was traded, that's how much he was valued there.

This was already explained in detail WHY the Canucks effectively got 3 quarters on the dollar for Kesler and Garrison due to NTC's limiting their ability to be traded (only two teams were in on Garrison and afraid of his cap hit) in June, you just have chosen to be ignorant despite having been explained this multiple times.

Lol good one. Compare their AHL stats. Kassian's blow's Jensens out of the &^@#ing water.

Those prospects fit in way better to Horvat and Virtanen's age than Bonino. And Theodore is a one trick pony? He's a legitimate bluechip prospect and is EXACTLY what we need in our organisation.
