grandmaster
Name the top 3 Canucks trades of all time (in order). I would say; 1) Naslund for Stojanov Probably the most lop sided trade. We got a captain and legacy for about a decade for a goon that never even really completed a season after the trade. 2) Bertuzzi and Macabe for Linden This legacy went on for several years as Bert (the greatest power forward we ever had), later turned to Luongo (the greatest goalie we ever had) who then became Mathias (about 16 years after the original trade involving Linden) Oh and Mcabe turned to a Sedin (enough said). 3) Ehroff for White I think Patrick White was the worst number one draft pick we ever made and Ehroff was the best offensive D man ever had (Ehroff was a key reason why we had the best PP and offence in the NHL). thejazz97
Wasn't it Naslund for Stojanov? Still a lopsided trade, though
MJDDawg
I wouldn't classify #3 as even a trade as it was more of a cap dump by the Sharks. I'd say the second best one was Pat Quinn sending Patrick Sundstrom to New Jersey for Greg Adams and a minor league goaltender named Kirk McLean. Also, can't forget Burkie's wheeling and dealing in the 1999 draft when he traded Bryan McCabe and a 2000 first-round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks for the fourth overall pick, then sending the No. 4 selection and a pair of third-round picks to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the top overall pick. Burke then sent the top pick to the expansion Atlanta Thrashers for the No. 2 selection and a conditional 2000 third-rounder. The deal was that the Thrashers would take Stefan, leaving the Canucks to take the Sedins in sequential order.

canacks1970
Wasn't it Naslund for Stojanov? Still a lopsided trade, though Yes your right. Also point out that Patrick White wasn't the the worst first round pick Vancouver had. Maybe it was before Grandmaster's time. Jason Herter , Libor Polasek, Dan Woodley, Nathen Smith. Other top trades to considered. Pat Quinn adding major pieces to the core group for the 94 cup run. Jyrki Lumme from Montreal for a second round pick in 1990. Cliff Ronning,Geoff Courtnall,Sergio Momesso,Robert Dirk and a 1992 5th round pick from St. Louis for Garth Butcher and Dan Quinn. Jeff Brown ,Brett Hedican, Nathen Lafayette from the BLUES for Craig Janney A fourth round pick im 1994

thejazz97
Luongo and Krajicek for Bertuzzi, Allen and Auld. How does Florida end up with some of our defensive left overs? Allen, Jovanovski, Mitchell But I guess we ended up with Ballard and Garrison, so... never mind.

apollo
Luongo and Krajicek for Bertuzzi, Allen and Auld. This is tied for the best trade in franchise history. Bert was trending downwards unfortunately and Roberto was a super star who turned this team around. Off course with the help of the Burke trade to land back to back picks and draft the greatest 2 human beings in Vancouver history. Those two stand alone as the best trades in Vancouver history. The Naslund trade was extremely lopsided as as well. McCabe ended up being a team Canada dman and with linden, the Bertuzzi trade to bring Todd here was a wash. White and rahimi for white was very lopsided too as u mentioned.
