jono2009
Boo to the first and second candidates. My vote goes to the Magic Man
HC20.0
All good choices for the award. I'm thinking Hudler this year.
thejazz97
Two former Wings A Wing, a former Wing, all Stanley Cup Champs and all Eurasians. Cool.
HC20.0
Two former Wings and all Eurasians. Cool. Datsyuk is still with the team. Kopitar never played for Detroit. So only 1 former Wing.
Mike Vanderhoek
Kopitar has been a player well deserving for some time, perhaps he finally gets noticed more so this year. Hudler is a nice acknowledgment but bottom of my list.
TheXFactor
Never did quite understand how they decide who gets this trophy.... nicest guy wins? How do you even pick that? Guess its more important then the Hart and Vezina.
cdubuya
How have neither Sedin ever been nominated for this award in their long and gentlemanly careers?

Same people every year it seems. Is no one else sportsmanlike?
Master Mind
You mean Pat Kane wasn't nominated this year? That's actually surprising (and also why it's hard to put much stock into the lady byng anymore).
Westcoasting
Kind of a bizarre award this one.... lets go through the top points players and pick out the guys with fewest penalty minutes... umm yeah but this is hockey and if someone has 10 mins of penaltys through the season and another has 20... what the hell is the difference! 10 pms is nothing. Something for the writers to vote on and feel important.
MikeyBoy44
4 minor penalties and over a point per game is totally Lady Byng material.
-AJ-
You mean Pat Kane wasn't nominated this year? That's actually surprising (and also why it's hard to put much stock into the lady byng anymore). Kane had 10 PIM in 61 games Datsyuk had 8 PIM in more games and Hudler had 14 in 78 games and Kopitar has 10 PIM in 79 games. Kane is a good candidate, but I wouldn't say it's insane to put him at 4th.
N7Nucks
How have neither Sedin ever been nominated for this award in their long and gentlemanly careers? Probably because it's more based off PIMs.
avelanch
what, no ferlund?

They put so much stock in how many PIMS and points a player gets, so naturally defencemen would have a tough time getting a nom, and not to mention goalies too. Just not a great system IMO. The Lady Byng needs an overhaul in the voting system. It's a joke.
