Chalky Posted August 20, 2015 Share Posted August 20, 2015 you know what? besides some crazy lunatic ideas he has like put a missile defense system near Russia (again) and having the Russians going very angry (WW3) and the mexican wall (will never work, you can build a tunnel, ask israel) he might do a good job domesticaly. the problem is the relation with other countries... I don´t see Clinton better. She lacks some "force" on her arguments, she seems too "soft"... The two are closely linked. You can't fix anything domestically if you are always reacting to trade sanctions, punitive subsidies and aggressive economic foreign policies from competing nations. No one person, even Trump, can supersede existing trade agreements without destroying the economy and causing a recession of 08 proportions. Domestically he can can't really fix anything, there are checks and balances withing US politics that will stop sensationalist and reactionary policies from becoming law. He whips people up by invoking a passionate response (negative and positive), but like a good bender, the hangover reveals a lot of regret afterwards. I believe he has to run for the Senate 1st, gain experience, become a more solid politician, then run for the WH... he might do a good job, but honestly, people see him as a famous business person and not as a politician... it´s the same as if Michael O'Leary (the CEO of Ryanair) decides to run for the PM of Ireland. and O´Leary is even more crazy than Trump... I don't think Trump is the guy though. He just says too many things that are straight up dumb. Being president isn't a reality TV show. You don't get good results by making up buzz words.
