Kassian #9
Why is Horvat not invited to the WJC camp? He is, i saw a video of him on TSN with other invitees What I want to know if they'll be streaming the tournament play down in Lake Placid. I love the idea of them playing against other countries potential WJC squad as opposed to those boring white/red scrimmages.
Amish Rake Fighter
If the Knights get Horvat and Domi back for one more year I could see them winning the Memorial Cup next year, main reason being that they're both older, they'll be better, and will have more expierence than last year. I'll definetly follow London a lot this year. The Memorial Cup is in London this year so they're guaranteed a spot

mrsasaki
What happens if London also wins the OHL championship again? I would assume whoever they play in the final would be the OHL representative, like how a few years ago when Vancouver and Medecine Hat were in the WHL final, they were both guaranteed a spot. Blueberries
http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/bo-horvat/ Horvat is a 7.5C(I think hes a 8.0C or 7.5B) and Shinkaruk is a 7.5D(Get this one
Guest Dasein
http://www.hockeysfu...ects/bo-horvat/ Horvat is a 7.5C(I think hes a 8.0C or 7.5B) and Shinkaruk is a 7.5D(Get this one It's definitely debatable, but I think fair. Let's remind ourselves what the numbers mean: 8.0 is a 1st line forward and 7.0 is a 2nd line forward - while A => D is the likelihood of them achieving the number assigned to them. Both Horvat and Shinkaruk as it stands have potential to be 2nd line forwards but not much of a chance as 1st line forwards. After next season, I expect that to change as the prospects play more their grades can go up or down. This is only the initial grading based on their draft year performances. I would expect Horvat and Shinkaruk to jump up to 8.0 after a full season in juniors and the WJC. Also, it looks consistent if you compare with some of the players drafted this year: Sean Monahan is a 8.0C which is only slightly better than Bo - and Monahan is slightly better. Emile Poirier is a 7.0C (LOL) which is slightly lower than Hunter - and Hunter is better (what was Feaster thinking) And proof that they give better grades to prospects as they develop through the years: Max Reinhart, now a 22-year-old pro, has the same grade as Bo Horvat: 7.5C. Max was not a 7.5C when he was drafted in the 3rd round in 2010. Now, it seems likely after he finished his junior career that his top ceiling will be a 2nd line center - which is the grade they gave him. Bo and Hunter can only improve from here. Those numbers and letters will be different next year. EDIT: I find it very intriguing that Calgary and Vancouver picked so close to each other - Horvat and Monahan could be going head to head in a few years from now - Hunter and Poirier (or Klimchuk) the same. Pears
C and D ratings? Did a Flames fan rate our prospects? Horvat and Shinkaruk should've gotten B and C ratings respectively.
DeNiro
I'm pretty sure Hodgson was rated as an 8.0C when we first drafted him so it really doesn't mean much. Unless Hockeysfuture has developed the ability to tell the future, all of these rankings are pulled out of someone's butt. Seriously, how can you rank a players liklihood of succeeding? It's pretty ridiculous when you think about it. Every prospect faces the same challenges and risks when trying to make the NHL, and only a percentage of players actually make it.
Baercheese
love horvat's game, too bad he went to van horvat and monahan looked good on the same line today. If Sean gets to go that line with Lazar will be heavily leaned on
Absent Canuck
I think both Horvat and Shinkaruk are virtual locks to become top 6 regulars in the NHL. I think 1st line status may be dubious for Bo but I am convinced Shinkaruk will reach it if he puts in the effort.

If Shinkaruk can put on a couple inches and 20 or so pounds over the next couple of years then our future is looking brighter than ever.

Shinkaruk should become a 1st liner if he works real hard at his game. Hes a good skater so he needs to use that to his advantage, and make his size not as great of a factor it is right now. Horvat is gonna be a great 2nd liner with a great two way game. He'll take his time to reach the top 6 time, but when he is age 26 he will become one the of the top two way players in the league.
