But managed to add Chris Tierney, are very excited to add Kevin Shattenkirk & Derrick Brassard as free agents. Alex Goligoski last deadline. Plus we will get to unveil hidden secret, Jakub Jerabek. Who slayed the WJC 5 years back & has slowly developed into a D man who became highly effective in the Czech league, KHL and a standout at WC's. He's signed in Montreal now & I have projected will run at least their 2knd PP. We are excited & confident we have elevated to a playoff position. We would have liked to have added a touch more depth? Had hoped a few college UFA's would have seen the opportunity. We have collected a nice stash of longer term prospects via the draft. It has, overall, been great progress this offseason. How far into playoffs do we go? Probably not a contender yet. It will depend on the development push from young players? But there is potential! Our focus will shift now from development to a mandate of acquiring playoff dangerous players. And to look for some of those depth players, NHL ready prospects if they're still out there? It positions us with 12 legit NHL forwards. Then Kasperi Kapanen, Oskar Lindblom, Adrian Kempe & Michael Dal Colle pressing for the last two roster spots, provide depth & to elevate the team? Where influential progress from Viktor Rask, Sam Bennett, Chris Tierney, Matthew Tkachuk & possibly Ryan Strome would also make us a very dangerous threat. It also leaves us with, a first for us, 5 fundamentally sound established NHL D. 6 if you include Tyutin? Plus Jerabek, Jordan Schmaltz, Maddison Bowey & perhaps Ville Pokka clamoring to be the difference makers, grab the last roster spots. And we are expecting Darnell Nurse to take a step forward. Just playing the whole year will be a boost. We could routinely be dressing 8 D-men? And we love our goalie position with John Gibson, Aaron Dell & Tristan Jarry. Our thanks to @Nail in particular @Monty and @Master Mind for their efforts this UFA season. Good luck to everyone, and we expect to speak a lot more in a couple months!
