I have nothing personal against JT,  but really, how is he supposed to actually relate to the "average" Canadian?

how are most career, generational politicians expected to do so?

they can't.  IMO.

They could certainly try rather then break their own rules they introduced.

Just sayin.

I don't like the NYT so I'm going to assume everything in this article is drivel and untrue!

Christy Clark can be as overtly corrupt as she wants, just no more NYT articles!

The New York Times, the London Times are probably the last bastion of actual information. There is nothing about the article that isn't true. Shooting the messenger doesn't do anything. BC has always been corrupt in politics. The fact that voters constantly get bullied into fear to vote a certain way is hilarious. That goes for politics in general now.

On January 15, 2017 at 4:03 PM, Green Building said:

What it says to people is money talks and votes don’t,” said Dermod Travis, the executive director of IntegrityBC, a nonpartisan political watchdog group based in Victoria, the provincial capital. “When anyone anywhere in the world can donate as much as they want to the system, you have an even bigger threat to the system.”

Shocking...

It's too bad British Columbians are so psychologically neutered that it prevents a grassroots movement in this province to organize and overthrow the present government and it's corroded system.

Problem is...someone just keeps voting them back in...even when you think they are done...I dont know who that is...nobody seems to want to own up to it.

Ahem. I resemble that remark.

I vote for them because the opposition is just that bad, imho. Until the NDP in BC can learn that business isn't all evil people twisting their moustaches or that investment in R&D, new companies and export-based industries isn't at the expense of say teachers, there's really no choice if job creation is a priority for you.

I see nothing but potential for BC to be an even more kick-ass province. There are great things going on all over BC in all kinds of industries that would be harmed under an NDP gov't. I've lived in 3 different provinces that had NDP at the time and each one was a job and industry killer.

Clark really pisses me off on things like social housing, but without a strong economy you just have fewer jobs and no social housing.

Is this a joke?

Ralph Klein is crying  ( somewhere / somehow  ) at what has happened in Alberta..... Legacy fund ?

Just a decade after Ralph Klein proclaimed Alberta debt-free, the province has racked up $11.9 billion in debt
