Dahlen getting sent to the Swedish U20 league looks like what would happen if the Oilers released McDavid for the WJC last year...

He really is leaps and bounds ahead of his age group. Makes me wonder how he would have looked in the CHL.

Dahlen-show in the first game Published: 2017-03-15 21:07 Timra IK

J20 won the first eighth final in the best of three. The match was won with 5-0 after Jonathan Dahlen scored four goals as Jens Lööke assisted at all to.

Timra had particularly a dream start to the year's MAF. Timrå newly formed first line with Jonathan Dahlen, Anton Kalte and Jens Lööke looked very lively throughout the game and scored four of the team's five goals.

Already in the first draw snatched Jonathan Dahlen up a Brynäs Carelessness but only shot just over. A few minutes later, the Kalte and Lööke wins the puck when Brynäs is moving forward. Lööke and Dahlen will be alone in front of Felix Sandstrom in the BIF bag and Dahlen feints him down and lift the puck over the leg guard.

Late in the period, they were there again. Now it was a very beautiful pat-pat-attack after Brynäs pressed long in the offensive zone. Now it was Dahlen who found Lööke who put up Marcus Hardegård in a great location but instead of shooting the puck drop Hardegård up to Dahlen again shooting a quick shot into the top corner.

Between these two goals were Anton Björkman grötat a puck in traffic. 0-3 reflected not match the picture in the first period. Timra won certainly the shots with 12-9 but Brynäs had a lot of puck and Timrå played tight centrally in their own zone. Brynäs had a post shot and the striker Victor Brattström passed with a fine save.

At the beginning of the second period of play Timra power play with no luck. Brynäs then got two power play in a row, and put enormous pressure on Timra who had to work to hold tight. Timra goalkeeper Victor Brattström was the one who fought most and best. He accounted for three-four qualified saves of the state. Timra managed to balance the game and create some chances later in the period. But even Brynäs have a very good goalkeeper in the JVM-keeper Felix Sandström (twin brother Simon Timrå).

At the end of the second period, however, came another goal and that was Jonathan Dahlen who was completely frispelad from the offensive blue onwards. In neutral, he hung up the puck with a high backhand. The fit was Jens Lööke for, which means that Jonathan stood for a target hattrickchallenge and Lööke for an assistant-hattrickchallenge. In the third period tried Brynäs early but did not hold on Timra who played a good defense game.

Instead, it was Timra in the power play could expand to 0-5 through, again, Jonathan Dahlen. The goal was pretty awesome too. Dahlen up the puck from their own zone. Draws a slap shot in the middle of the circle, so hard that it gives return. The rebound is Dahlen first on and shortly later he pops up at 0-5 in the top corner.

The match ends 5-0 for Timra which thus takes the lead 1-0 in matches. To summarize Timra had a very good goalkeeper, a tight defense and a brilliant first line tonight.

On Friday, the match is played in two home NHK Arena. The I think as many people as possible to come and see. There is free admission!

Match Report: Brynäs IF - Timra IK 0-5 Goals: 0-1 Jonathan Dahlen (Jens Lööke, Anton Kalte) 03:44 Bjorkman 0-2 Anton (Anton Kalte, Sebastian Kaijser) 09:36 0-3 Jonathan Dahlen (Marcus Hardegård, Jens Lööke) 17:01 0-4 Jonathan Dahlén (Jens Lööke) 36:19

I'd say:

1- Boeser, 2- Juolevi and then Goldobin, Dahlen, Demko could basically go in any order.

Sure. Fill your boots.

i don't see him has a top 2. Matthew has 44 points has a 19 year old and ollie has not even progressed in the OHL! He is the same has last year and should not a player that was selected in the top 5 dominate at the junior level and not stay the same has 2 years ago.

Yup, he's obviously a complete write-off, seeing as how he didn't make it into the NHL the year he was drafted.

Can we put you on forum waivers? Hopefully another NHL forum will pick you up.
