Phaneuf is quietly impressive. It seems like he's settled down and is finally playing just a solid physical D role.  Much like Bouwmeester, whom I also think plays a similar way, maybe less physical though. Both maybe had a little too  much pressure when they entered the league, and have finally found their stride and accepted their roles as big solid defensive Ds.
