Hope it was okay to use a welder's mask, because I did multiple times.

We all did in Calgary as well in less of a percentage of totality around 80 here in Cowtown.  It was a great view in a clear blue sky.  At 11:33 at it's peak.. ambient light was comparable to what you expect in a late summer afternoon.  Hardly noticeable in difference.  Guess lots of light bounces around our atmosphere from unaffected regions.  I only hit 2 cars and 3 buses driving home. But my keyboard is visible now as a somewhat blackish rectangle it'll be better in the morning.

I did too, but with such a quick look, I could hardly notice any detail.

Yeah true, but you could still kind of tell that the sun was blocked. I am a space fanatic so this was pretty cool for me.

Missed it when it was the fullest... stupid customers. Was able to experience the drop in temperature and did get to see some of it though.  Looks like the next one worth a watch will be in 2024. Looks like Toronto will be about the best place in Canada to see it.  Might be worth the road trip.

Only 7 more years to the next solar eclipse in 2024 but only visible in Eastern Canada.

Or another 27 years for one in Western Canada in 2044

Or 28 years for the next coast to coast solar eclipse in 2045.

Alas,  I doubt I will be still here in 2044 or 2045.
