Yah, the commentary had no energy at all (just my opinion).  The tv was on mute for a majority of the game, while I listen in on the radio - very thankful to the inventor of the mute button.GIF by Josie Dunne

John and John in BC........they were having a good night!

Some great quotes from Calgary fans tonight on calgarypuck after their team lost easily to our Canucks:

At least it wasn't a shutout.
that sucked more than anything has ever sucked
Was at the game. Canuck fans are honestly the worst.
Top players really didn’t show up after Rittich soiled himself in the 1st.
Blow it up, tank for the draft pick.
I think this is the real Calgary Flames TBH
Gaudreau is basically a pp specialist at this point. Totally sucks 5 on 5. I don't think I will be sad to see him gone.
Virtanen has 12 goals this year and Bennett a healthy scratch.... What a crap draft that was for the flames.
Gaudreau needs to be dropped to the 3rd line again. Let Dube take his spot.
I am not claiming anything and this is completely speculative.. but with Gaudreau's body language and disappearance on the ice, I wonder if he is dealing with some mental health issues

Excuse me while I go heat up my hot tub with the tears of Flames fans.  Hahahahaha......

PS: Even their tears smell like cowtown!!

Great insight, my fave was on both Gaudreau and Bennett!

Them Taking McDonalds over Demko is the best part

That's what I have been telling the Flames fans every time they bring up Tkachuk and Juolevi. And fun fact, most of them (the casual ones) had no idea who McDonalds was :emot-parrot:

Sam needs a change of scenery?

well healthy scratch tonight and ive seen him when he's on his game and being physical, looks good maybe he does, but think we have to many forwards as is and getting rid of cap with baer in the minors, cant see it happening.

EDIT: also dont see them trading in the same division.

The reffing went both ways. Stetchers “slashing” penalty?? Tkachuks penalty was a reputation call. I’m still optimistic on OJ, tkachuk is such a punk.

I believe in a cap world, it benefits a team to have a balance of prospect with varying degrees in development.  Just look at the contrast between the Laffs and the Jets at how they handle prospects and players (personally, I like how the Bruins are building a more sustainable model of stretching the window).   I do remember, while JB was there asst GM, at how they drafted and traded players like Seguin, Hamilton and Thornton (core players) ...

He was their best player against Colorado in last year's futile 5 gamer playoff. He was head n shoulders above the whusses that caved in.
