Isn’t that kind of the coach’s job?

Well, a canuck fan made one, if we truly are fans of the team we should make one and it could cheer em up and it will tell them the fans have faith in them still down the stretch!

I think he has a lot of value - not a first rounder level, but some serious assets involved. That is why I mean instead of some high end assets you could take less and add a crap contract.   I am of the camp that Nikita is a little bit of a complainer and that his 'family' doesn't like Van.

Based on what?   We’re talking about the rights to a player who has already proven he will bolt back home at the first sign of adversity. If he dominated in the KHL you might have a case. But he didn’t even do that. And we’re talking about a league where Nigel F’in Dawes is an all star.

He’s big. But that doesn’t mean he’s Chara 2.0. He has a lot to prove before you can possibly say he has a lot of value to other teams GMs.

if you listen to a Tippet for example (EDM) and Green post game after a tough loss it's night and day.

i hate complimenting the Oil, but they play with urgency and hunger. Their coach doesn't shy away from calling out his players after a tough loss.

he's still young, did good enough here and got better as the season went on, had good moments in the K as well.  Very Mobile, big and can play both sides.  That is what.  Now got to bed! Chara is a hall of famer, never once said he was Chara-like.

to simplify what happen

Ari had at least 2-3 extra gears more then the Canucks could match in the 3rd

ya that was all because of the fight

bench MacEwen!!!!

what, that was last game

Still his fault, a poorly timed fight can last for games

And the nucks hemmed them in for stretches but didnt get lucky bounces.

that is because after hemming them in their end we invariably try an ill-advised pass to the point that gets picked off.

Horvat with a beauty tonight, although he was not the only one

He’s 25. He’ll be 26 by the time next season starts. He’s the veteran of over 400 professional games between the KHL and NHL. And at no time has he ever dominated.  If he can’t dominate in the KHL he probably projects to be a bottom pairing guy in the NHL. GM’s aren’t going to pay a premium for the rights to someone with that career trajectory
