Coach Green this morning on 650:

Lammikko, Highmore & Dickinson - trusted, heavy line.

D - has the structure changed?   "overall team game has been solid...worked on it a lot in camp/new personnel.  Team d isn't just about d or about structure...it's a commitment to do it (from forwards & d).  If you don't have the buy in...."

Brock? - not sure yet.  Still on the ice...he'll talk to the trainers when he gets off.  Hoping he is (in the line up).

I'm guessing seeing Hunt or Schenn in the line up will depend on Boeser.

If I'm not mistaken, in order for Boeser to be in tonight, someone will have to be papered down. I'm assuming that will be Rathbone, as I don't see Podz and Hog being taken out of the line up.

Anyone knows who maybe coming out for Hunt/Schenn?? most likely Burroughs I assume?

Is Motte getting closer to coming back too?? Rather see him than Dowling out there.... Dowling is just fine as a bench option for C/LW...

I'll forward your questions to management, please let us know what they say

Wait.. how's Highmore giving us a "heavy line"?? I know he's got speed and bangs a bit but far from heavy though...  the only heavy line we can assemble is: Lammikko - Dickinson - Chiasson... that's as heavy as u can get after letting go Mac!

Yes, not many fans in Kanata, too bad the team botched it recent attempt to bring the rink to the people in Ottawa. I can drive to Montreal in about the same amount of time. Perhaps a new home in Quebec City...

For sure. I was in Ottawa for work some years ago. Decided to check out an afternoon Saturday game. Basically crawling traffic the whole way there on the Hwy then 1 road leading to 1 parking lot beside the rink. Just awful. Rink and fans have very little energy / atmosphere. Wasn't impressed at all.

I think you might be a bit harsh here.

he Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators will be able to open their rinks to 50 per cent capacity after the Ontario government increased limits for crowds on Friday.

Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario's chief medical officer of health, said indoor venues can now increase capacity to 50 per cent or 10,000 people -- whichever is less.

The Canucks are the only team not allowed full capacity at this point.

It's gotta be Rathbone.

I believe we already have a 23 man roster without Boes, so in order for him to be activated someone needs to be sent down to Abbotsford. Don't see Hog and Pod being taken out of the line up.

Would like to see Schenn play and get some PK time, we can't keep playing Hughes 29 minutes a night...

This is a surprisingly big game for so early in the season, don't want to be embarrassed by what should be a terrible team, and want to keep our heads over 0.500 because we've learnt it's so hard to crawl back from going under. This road trip should be a gift of average teams so we really need to bag some easy points here.

Our offence has been clicking nicely, even against Detroit we should have scored more, but I worry about our defence and mainly our PK which is at around 50%. One of the worst PK and worst faceoff % in the league which is a shock, time to turn these ugly stats around.

5-0 Canucks.

Yes i think it will settle down.   Any time a team plays EDM their PK is expected to take a sh!t kicking.   We deserved a regulation win against Smith and Detroit ... bad luck ... as long as we keep playing the way we have, over a longer sample size i think our winning percentage should go way up.   This is a fun team to watch.   Bad/slow starts.   Used to be we played great out of the gate and Markstrom just slept and the wheel and let the first one or two or three in lol.   Nothing we aren't used to.   Like games that keep you on the edge of your seat.   Like our chances too this season.

wow - to management- that's quite something. I think it would be more appropriate to reach out to coach green. Let's go. I am curious if management reacts to your request. Let me know when you have received the answers from them. Thanks. !

Heavy and trusted = skating fast, doing drive buys, and not really engaging much at all now?

No wonder our team gets pushed around like bitches most of the time.

Highmore would be a 13th forward on most NHL teams IMO. Maybe a 4th line guy at best.

Thanks Bud...

Kinda sad to see Boner go down.... he's still developing in the NHL though...

Really sad..... the vaxx passport thing is supposed to make things easier for ppl going into theatres, ice rinks and restaurants.... we all know Covid transmissions can happen between fully vaxx'd ppl but it's at the user's discretion to put on a mask too to reduce the risk... this is putting our team into a home ice disadvantage!

But sending Boner down also means we'll be stuck with Hunt as the fulltime 3rd LHD with no immediate backup??? WTF..............
