Key to this game was changing up the PP and Canucks taking zero penalties

Yeah good thing Demko was up to the task. I dont like how Canucks played the last 3 minutes just standing back instead of aggressively checking the opposition. Demko saved their bacon there.

Podkolzin showed up big tonight.

 

The new defensive pairings had lots of life,

 

Pettersson and Boeser were hella confident.

 

The OEL we traded for played tonight. Hughes was Hughes.

 

Myers looked much bigger tonight.

 

Hamonic already looks sharp.

 

Motte changes things immensely. What a guy.

 

No one wanted to get fired tonight.

 

No one wanted to get traded tonight.

 

Made Winnipeg look sloppy.

 

And DEMKO.

Yeah. They were aggressive defending near the end, and the Jets almost scored near the end as wel. Shorthouse made it sound like the puck was ON THE LINE. I didn't see the game, so I'm not sure how close it was. But man, I would not have been surprised to hear the Canucks lead by 2 goals with 2 min left to go, and then the Jets scored two goals to tie it. I'm glad they won. But this is only ONE &^@#ING GAME. 

 

Let's see if this team can build off of this, or whether it's going to be 1 win, and then lose 5-6 straight, win 1, lose 6 straight. If that's the case, just do what needs to be done, and relieve both GM and coach. Cause at that point, it's clear that the win might be deceiving. 

 

How did Petey play tonight offensively and defensively?
