Could be fake news

Sounds fishy to me. JT will be wreckless to build a home in PA and don't have no trade or limited trade clause.  Alvin could trade him to Seattle if the deal is right.  It can be just a second home or investment property, rich people invest all the time. That doesn't mean that's where they want to go or will go.

Miller is a UFA July 1, 2023.  He will choose a city close to his permanent home.  Much like Gaudreau just did.

Vintage posted it.  Could be fake news, but seriously doubt it.  Miller spends the off season training in Pittsburgh.

Sounds like an off season home which most players rs have

And nux have his rights until then. They can trade him any where.

Also Pits just signed Letang and Malkin long term. He won't get a big deal from Pittsburgh.

How do you figure ? We will take what we are asking and nothing less.People need to stop the negativity just cause something doesn't happen the way you want.

I disagree.

He signs or you dump and move on.

Best scenario he signs. No clue if that happens I'm not his agent.

Second best scenario is he's traded for anything.

Lastly he leaves for nothing. That is inexcusable.

Miller rents here.  He and his wife are building a home in Pittsburgh.  She’s pregnant with their third child.  The other two are little girls.  What’s more likely?  The pregnant wife and little girls come here for the season, or they stay in Pittsburgh and JT commutes?

Well still does not matter where his home is,till he retires he will play for the team that pays him

So why worry and a plan is set and we will not let him leave for nothing

Agreed.  But it’s a lot easier to be a dad if he’s in the eastern conference.  A trade to the Islanders, Jersey, or Carolina would be places he would extend.  Gaudreau was offered 16 million more to stay in Calgary, and he still left so he could be closer to home.  We can trade him now or any time up to the TDL.  But, IMHAO, he isn’t extending with us.

Horvat lives in London, ON.

So I guess we’re finally getting Kerfoot from the Laffs at the trade deadline.

How bout this, if Alf’s right we all pitch in and buy him a delicious cat dinner from the SPCA?

Columbus also isn't too far?? They could add him to Gaudreau perhaps. If he's not re-signing, best to do it now, and they should ask him for a list of teams that are close enough. Otherwise, in some ways, it's starting to smell like the Kesler deal, no? And by that I mean, very limited options.

Because the longer we wait, the less likely the return is going to help us in the now, and more so will be futures.  If we are in a playoff spot or close do we dump the rest of the season and trade him at the TDL?  Will our owner even allow that?  Why Did we take Miller off the market 2 weeks before the 2022 TDL?  It’s all been discussed here over and over.  We aren’t taking a step back.  We want a return that includes guys (23-27) who help us now.  The further the season we go, the more likely the return will be futures.
