[Rumour] Canucks interested in Andrei Kuzmenko

Playing with Mcdavid and Drai doesn’t mean jack. They are the only ones that put up points

If Kuzmenko is only interested in making the maximum he can after this one season (he’s a UFA July 2023) then he 100% choosing to play with McDrai.  He will, without any doubt, put up more points and goals playing with those two guys.  And if that’s all he wants, then we don’t want him.  If he’s more about playing an important role on a developing team, and staying in one place long term, then he selects us, and that’s a guy we want.

Maybe with Vancouver being the last stop for Kuzmenko, it'll leave a lasting impression on him.  Weather was good, the city (and backdrop) is beautiful. I'm sure he had a real good time.

Bure is a legend, Mogilny played here, Podkolzin's on the team. Boudreau coached Ovechkin. JR and Allvin managed Malkin. And there will be a LW position available for Kuzmenko in the Top 9 next season.

I could see a  "Kuzmenko - Horvat - Podkolzin" line.

Hope we have him on the roster next season

Podz said he loves it here, If he can reel him on the city life then I think it's a wrap. #RussianConnect

The player with the most point behind Those guys is Hyman with 54. That’s not even half the point McDrai put up. Every year it’s the same thing. Hyman, RNH, Kane. Those guys would put up about the same points on other teams and have proven so. Again I think it mean jack playing with those guys.

That’s the difference between them and the Sedins for example. The Sedins could make plugs look good. MCdrai combo don’t do that, they just do it by themselves.

However I do agree with the second part of your statement

Yeah, others have fell under that spell (e.g. Lucic), thinking they'll just join Connor's team and reap the rewards, win many cups. I wonder how long before Connor decides he hates the Canadian spotlight and the pressure to win in Canada, and bolts for a US team. That last drunk video in EDM wasn't a great look for him, but in Sunrise, Florida, no one would care about any of that, or make a big fuss about who he is.

I’ve been to Edmonton a few times. Seriously, the only people who could say they like living there have never been outside of Alberta. Even Prince George is a waaay more appealing city.

Elitist much?

I Iive in the interior and travel regularly throughout western Canada.

Quite honestly I find Vancouver one of the least livable and least affordable cities in the west but that is my opinion. I won't run it down though because it is home to the Canucks and respect other's opinions who love it.

Exactly!  This is our Canuck’s forum.

I find it funny how the road signs into Edmonton say welcome.  And on the back of those signs it says Leaving Edmonton, resume normal behaviour.

Damn rights we’re elitist here.  We should be.

Seriously how many people leave here to retire to Edmonton?  Yet lots come here.

Edmonton is a crumby city.

The dynamic is so weird in Edmonton. Even an offensive specialist like Barrie seems to struggle at a part of the game he’s suppose to excel at,

So Edmonton took Kuzmenko to Joey Restaurant and Vancouver took him to Blue Water and probably Elisa.

I'm pretty sure Kuzmenko enjoyed the dining experience much more here in Vancouver.  Could be the determining factor really...

Holland is like “Hey Andrei, order the chili fries. It’s not in the menu but I know the chef” ;)

Every city craps all over others. I was in Calgary last week and people there were running down Vancouver. It’s not unique to here, but whenever it gets brought up, even in a playful way like in this thread about our rivals, somebody inevitably complains about “ELiTiSm”

The nicest part of Edmonton is the departures lounge of the airport.  It's an absolute dump of a city and I can't blame anyone who doesn't want to live in that hellhole.

Lol I felt the same about Comox....dump.
