I highly value 2nd/3rd draft picks, but still support not trading Schenn this deadline. He has a baby on the way, was just injured, provides valuable leadership and toughness, and is outperforming his contract at the most difficult position to fill. After all the negative press, would be some much needed class and goodwill from the franchise.

Is Pearson going to be ready for next year, full on healthy?

You mean ready to be traded?? How about poolman? Benning loves signing injury prone players yet gave Tanev away because he thought he was injury prone lol

I think there would be interest in Pearson. Poolman looks like he may not recover.

Tanev was so yesterday.

I really have no faith in the Canucks injury reporting at present.

Timeline:

- Demko was reported as leaving practice early

- Paterson and others said he looked to have done something before he left

- Tocchet said he had just been out there too long.

- Other media reported him as having a setback

- Demko not at practice

- Tocchet said maintenance and may or may not have said groin injury.

In the NFL this brings fines and worse.

I wonder if a team would actually stage something like this.

(Props if they did)

this is the Canucks

I could see them dong it

and almost getting away with it

then leaking it to the media 3 days before draft day

Interesting, they've actually identified it as a groin issue. That's a tough one for goaltenders, wonder if it'll be a concern going forward.

at this point, I do not believe anything any team says about injuries

out for the season, or at least til Monday

out for a few days, or career ending
