So he got caught gambling before it became big business? Who the f cares.

Gretzky and Jordan did the same thing.

Pretty weak example of character issues…

He also has a long history of throwing his team under the bus to the media instead of conducting himself like a professional.  He's in the same category as Yeo and is unfit for any kind of employment by any franchise.

Lol okay.

I forgot you were the authority on who’s morally fit to run a team.

Any suggestions on replacement assistants then?

I suggested simply not replacing Yeo and enjoying addition via subtraction.

You cant not replace him.

That would put too much on Boudreau and a rookie assistant.

If they’re canning Yeo they 100% already have a replacement lined up. Someone like Niedermeyer who’s available.

Not replacing him is still preferable to allowing him in the dressing room.  Fixing the problems caused by this worthless piece of **** is already putting too much on the coaching staff.

I'm loving the offense. Makes things much more exciting. Hating the fact it goes along with letting in the most goals possible as well lol. Perfect storm for a 11-16th pick and no playoffs.

At least EP is insane. We better not fumble him. We should be like SJ and say everyone is fair game except 1 guy ( hertl )

Which Niedermeyer are we talking about? Didn't know one of them was coaching

Scott Niedermeyer was an assistant in Anaheim for three seasons under Boudreau.

He’s also going to coach as an assistant under Green in the Spengler Cup.

Thanks DeNiro. Time for him to come back to BC.  He could be the next Rod the Bod.  Seems like the old players coming into coaching now have the right idea's for today's NHL.

Ep has the reigns.   He cant do it on his own.  You need 4 to 5 core guys to build a contender.  Theres this weird petey captn America fantasy on this board where ppl think hes capable of winning on his own.  Miller, boeser, garland can go, but bo needs to stay.

Fair enough but the entire point of my post is that Mgmt needs to build a more balanced team so that EP doesn't have to do it alone (not just points but overall effort and compete level as well).

In my view, they need to move out Bo to allow real change to happen. We all like Bo as a player but the accountability on this team is horrible and Bo is the leader of that complacency. Ultimately, the team needs to remake the second line, restructure the D (including finding a defensive stalwart for QH, and find a strong third line center). The team will be much more balanced then and EP won't have to do it all alone.

No we haven't.

We've barely been getting lucky OT wins against bottom of the barrel teams and have been absolutely buried by playoff teams that actually have talent and play with structure. We had two games where we played relatively well against the Knights and a hobbled Avs team. That's it.

Two games.

This entire season.

Not winning hockey.

Wins are wins and loses are loses.

The Canucks were in a deep hole as a result of playing the worst hockey in probably their history. They are now “average” in points being at .500. This come back was completed in early December and that is a huge accomplishment from where we were.

Sit back and enjoy the ride. The defence is questionable but this offence is on steroids. It is fun hockey that is actually getting results.

Just imagine if this team can figure out the defence and got solid goaltending. It would be an elite contender.

Time will tell if they can improve even further. It’s in their hands.

I'd rather just not bring in yet another coach with character issues.  Fire Yeo without replacement and a lot of problems go away.

Is there anybody in the world without coaching issues that isn't a slimy piece of vermin? :picard: ::D

Have you actually been there with them in any type of coaching decision, did you get coached by them, or is this something you're capable of gleaning through your tv screen?

Maybe the modern day Mother Theresa would meet your lofty moral compass? They might not know hockey as much but that's not important really.
