Popular Post OldFaithfulCap
Media TV: Sportsnet (Canada) Hulu plus - flames feed only (USA) Radio: Sportsnet 650 Canucks wins needed to make playoffs Overview The Canucks close out 2022 in Calgary, once again sitting at break-even .500. This will be their 10th consecutive game against Western teams where they have gone 5-4. A disappointment in Winnipeg needs to be forgotten like angry words on the ice but hopefully they worked some more on the Penalty Kill which let them down against the Jets. The Flames lost to the Canucks on home ice two weeks ago but Crunch's brother has tinkered with his lineup bringing back former Vancouver Giant Lucic who'll appear on the second line tonight. Jonathan Huberdeau scored the game winner against the Kraken and has amassed 6 points in his last 5 games after a slow start to the season. Markstrom will start tonight but hopefully we won't have to listen to Vladar's pointless comments on the tv feed again. The Flames have talked about focusing on the grind needed to make the playoffs and the Canucks will need to be ready for a determined team. The Canucks have made some changes, bringing up their best pirate named-player William Lockwood from Abbotsford and sending mainstay Aman down. We could see Dries in the lineup but Lockwood was impressive in the win against Buffalo earlier this season so hopefully he can be a new spark. Elias Pettersson has yet to score against the Flames this season so he may be due. Travis Dermott showed good effort against the Jets and we should see an unchanged blue-line. Martin will get the start. 2022 has been a series of close misses for the Canucks and a rabid fan base yearns for either more wins or a rebuild. I'm unsure what to make of them myself but another win against the Flames will end 2022 in a good way with hope for the new year. OldFaithfulCap
TV-wise for Canada I am unsure. I saw HNIC listed on theprovince but I can't see it on cbc's page (maybe because it's new years). Also no idea if shorty will cover it - the US gets stuck with the flames commentators yuck. Goddamn backup goalie again lovefest probably.

DownUndaCanuck
Big game all things considered, they're 6 points ahead of us with 2 games in hand. Huge 4 point swing, at the end of the season it'll be points like these which decide the playoffs. Their terrible offence and solid D will be an interesting matchup as always against our great offence and terrible D so expecting a close game. We've been so strong on the road and after the last bad game I think we'll bounce back and win this. Lose and we're back under .500 with no hope in hell of catching up with the rest of the pack. Hate to say "must win" but it kind of is. 3-2 Canucks in a playoff type game. Petey with the winner.

Hairy Kneel
Not a good game for us last game we have to come out strong and push the pace. A few guys took the game off they need to follow Schenn he never takes a game off.
OldFaithfulCap
Added overview and the counter for the optimists. Waiting on canucks lines, seems like they keep hoarding them lately. Annoying.
