Obviously Drance put lots of thought into this to come up with such a clever narrative…

except that the team is scoring  at a 3.44 goals per game under RikTok in 18 games compared to 3.35 with Bruce.
Hmmm…2 six goal games, 3 five goal games, and 5 four goal games out of 18 so got it, low event hockey after a one game trend.

Well somebody tell the fool to make his mind up.... low event or not.

Does he want a winning team or not... in the end its about winning. Any which way...

New Drance narrative. He's saying that Toccets Coyotes were low event hockey. And this last game against the Ducks was the first example of what Tocchet hockey is

I don't like Drance but i actually agree with him on this.

Tocchet will make the team check better and defend better (well as long as oel and myers don't play too much). The downside is that we're going to lose scoring and petey's line will be the main one.

He has already changed his mind about players playing too much and about who should be on the pk.

They are all in win now mode which will get us closer to a playoff team but nothing more. I fundamentally disagree with their direction, i have to agree with drance about the next two drafts being full of bc stars who the canucks are ignoring, BUT that's how it's going to be until they all get fired. Just have to appreciate the guys they have and be ok with more waiting.

In the end its about winning.
They have shown the road they want to follow, and if that is it, then so be it...

Rather have lower scoring games (IF this is going to be the case) in which they win, than high scoring games, where they can pick the puck out of their own net constantly and lose.

We will never be bad enough to pick top 3-4 or even top 6, as long as we have Petey, QH, Miller, Kuz and Demko....

And start selling them off, you may as well sell them ALL of them off, as Petey and QH (possibly Kuz) won't want to hang around waiting and hoping to be part of a team that wins games and potentially cups.

So to have a different opinion about the direction is totally fine, but once the course has been set, to find ways to undermine the plans sounds pretty petulant...

Question, would Drance accept low key hockey, if, against all odds, it gives us a cup?

In next season’s universe. New Beau will be costing less than half of what old Bo costs.

Bo's contract is way too long and for too much money - Lou Lam  :bigblush:

Beauvillier is just right and he's producing well on Petey's line. 13 pts (6 goals) in 15 games

Horvat currently has 9 pts (5 goals) in 15 games

Almost as good as Beauvillier. Almost.

And for all we know will end up with half the points Bo gets.  That was my point.   Comparing this season's post-trade numbers with next year's salary costs is disingenuous

What's Beau's faceoff winning percentage?

But, as a Canuck fan, it’s fun as hell! :frantic:

If we are comparing points production to salary/cap hit, here's a fun fact ....

JT is having a better year than Petey.  Petey, 11.02 points per $1M;  Miller  - 11.04 points per $1M. Plus, Petey's F/O % 43.69,  JT's 54.41%

Imbalanced +/- ofc,  but Miller does get the more difficult matchups

(No axe to grind, just found these numbers interesting)
